MEAL Manager At DanChurchAid

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Conduct data collection and analysis for project monitoring and evaluation
  • Test and train project teams and investigators on the use of data collection tools, define their objectives and monitor progress.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data through focus group discussions and interviews with key informants
  • Manage the tablets used for data collection, ensuring proper functionality, fast downloads, and requesting maintenance or replacement if necessary.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SMSPS manager is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Implementation of the MEAL (Monitoring – Evaluation – Accountability – Learning) system
  • Develop the MEAL plan for each project and ensure its implementation
  • Support the development/revision of indicators (qualitative, quantitative)
  • Develop the TOR and methodological tools (questionnaire, guides for ESS and FGD,

etc.) for the entire MEAL process

  • Create/adapt data collection and analysis tools: rapid needs assessment, surveys, baseline study, real-time evaluation (RTE), end-line impact studies, follow-up field visits, focus groups, etc.

Evaluation, analysis and data collection

  • Configuring questionnaires on data analysis applications
  • Organize all monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities: rapid needs assessment, surveys, baseline studies;
  • Recruit investigators and consultants, train them, supervise them and oversee/evaluate their work and guarantee the quality of the work;
  • Participate in needs assessments and project development

Monitoring and reporting of project activities

  • Collect field data (quantitative and qualitative), analyze it, and produce the requested reports and other documents.
  • Keep the events calendar up to date for all projects
  • Provide MEAL advice and coaching to program personnel
  • Organize follow-up meetings involving all key project staff
  • Monitoring compliance with the logical framework, the completion of activities, results, and adherence to the
  • Calendar
  • Develop a dashboard for the ongoing project
  • Participate in the preparation of internal reports and reports to donors

Evidence production and knowledge management

  • Write success stories, produce images (photos, videos), and build a database.
  • Produce and manage monthly reports, capitalization documents, and databases.
  • Promote the sharing of best practices and lessons learned within the team and between different teams
  • Produce summaries of the documents and share them

Accountability

  • Complete other key monitoring and accountability documents: Accountability Improvement
  • Plan
  • Establish a feedback mechanism for beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders

Relations

  • Working closely with DCA teams and technical advisors

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Technical skills in monitoring and evaluation

  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills for qualitative data, primarily data related to mental health, gender, peacebuilding, and democracy.
  • University degree in humanities
  • An ability to conduct in-depth analysis of conflict dynamics and to

  • Experience working with young people, particularly young women, and the challenges they face in the Central African Republic
