Position Purpose
The MHPSS & Child Protection Assistant provides programmatic and coordination support to mental health, psychosocial support, and child protection projects implemented across Jordan, Gaza, and Syria. Based in Amman, the position supports country and regional teams in the organization, coordination, and documentation of MHPSS and child protection activities to ensure effective implementation and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Implementation Support
- Support implementation of MHPSS and child protection activities in coordination with country teams.
- Track activity progress, deliverables, and reporting timelines.
- Follow up with teams on implementation challenges and required actions.
- Support alignment between planned activities and implementation progress.
2. Coordination with Teams
- Coordinate with MHPSS and child protection teams across Jordan, Gaza, and Syria.
- Support coordination with MEAL, operations, finance, logistics, and HR teams.
- Assist in organizing coordination meetings, calls, and internal briefings.
- Facilitate cross-country coordination and information sharing.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL)
- Coordinate with MEAL teams on indicator tracking and reporting schedules.
- Support consolidation and review of activity data and narrative inputs.
- Assist in tracking feedback, complaints, and follow-up actions.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Support preparation of donor and internal reports.
- Assist in compiling qualitative and quantitative inputs.
- Maintain organized program files, trackers, and documentation.
5. Meetings & Follow-Up
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and track action points.
- Maintain organized records related to MHPSS and child protection activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Public Health, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience supporting MHPSS or child protection programs.
- Understanding of confidentiality and sensitive information handling.
- Strong coordination, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with MHPSS or child protection programming environments.
- Experience supporting reporting or MEAL-related processes.Disclaimer:
