Mission :

Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator and the functional management of the Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation Department Manager, your mission will be to assess needs, submit alerts, conduct multi-sectoral surveys, and identify, implement, monitor, and evaluate emergency interventions (WASH and NFI distribution) within the framework of the Rapid Response Mechanism in designated areas.
You will actively participate in humanitarian monitoring and contribute to the development of data collection and post-distribution monitoring tools, as well as to the documentation of program activities.
More specifically, your responsibilities will be to:
Participate in humanitarian monitoring and conduct assessments;
Ensure the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of RRM activities;
Contribute to strategic thinking, identify needs, and help formulate projects and define the Emergency Department’s positioning;
Supervise and manage the team: 1 Deputy WASH Program Manager, 2 WASH Project Officers, 4 WASH Facilitators, and 1 Work Controller;
Participate in the coordination, representation, and partnerships of Action Against Hunger in your area of ​​intervention;
Participate in security management;
Contribute to the Quality and Accountability processes and the program’s impact measurement;
Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical development within the sector

Profile :

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Public Health, WASH, Environment, Applied Geology, or a related field.
You have significant experience (3 years) as a WASH/DRM Project or Program Manager in an international NGO, working in emergency and/or volatile security contexts, including supporting and managing technical teams.
You have experience coordinating multi-sectoral assessments, building capacity, collaborating with other NGOs, government partners, and community organizations, and ideally with RRM mechanisms in Central Africa or the Sahel.
You possess strong analytical, writing, and summarization skills in French. Proficiency in English is an asset.

Employment conditions

Contract under French or Chadian law: 3 months until 06/30/2026.
National applicants:
Base salary: 734,624 XAF/1,319 euros.
Transportation allowance: 33,000 XAF/59 euros.
Lunch allowance: 22,000 XAF/40 euros.
Housing allowance: 70,000 XAF/126 euros.
Medical coverage for employee and family: 125,000 XAF/224 euros.
Employer contribution: 82,500 XAF/148 euros.
International applicants:
Gross monthly salary: from 2,130 to 2,475 euros depending on experience, including a 13th-month bonus.
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary.
Base salary increase: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
