BRAC was founded in Bangladesh in 1972 by Sir Fazle Hasan Abed. BRAC International (BI) is seeking application from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position:

Digital Media Specialist (Re-advertisement)

The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a digital media strategy. He/she will be responsible for leading digital marketing efforts, coordination of marketing campaigns, content management, monitoring traffic and responding to feedback.

The ideal candidate has experience contributing to and implementing creative digital strategies, with strong skills in social media, website management, writing, and developing and organizing databases. A background in contributing to the growth of audiences across digital communications channels and a desire to transition to more hands-on responsibilities and project management is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design digital media campaigns (focusing on programmatic and fundraising aspects) that align with the goals of our organization.
  • Develop advertising strategies on digital media accounts, primarily Google, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Make strategic monthly social media plans and schedule content via a social media management platform (Hootsuite).
  • Manage and update the social media database featuring all evergreen content that links back to existing collateral, coverage, and projects.
  • Monitor performance and produce periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) that assess progress against goals, suggest variables to test, and track improvements over time.
  • Check social and digital accounts daily for alerts and mentions; draft timely social media copy in response to relevant stakeholder posts, publications, and events
  • Lead and coordinate the creation of digital content in various forms (e.g. website٫ blogs٫ press releases and podcasts).
  • Deliver advice to internal teams on the most effective and efficient way to publish their digital content.
  • Manage backend of website in WordPress, including adding and updating blogs, resources, and key pages on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate with the website team to maintain and fix any website issues, improve website performance, and increase traffic through Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related field.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of different types of media channels.
  • Knowledge of website development and maintenance.
  • Proficiency with the tools needed to manage a brand in a digital space, including but not limited to: HTML; WordPress; Google Analytics, social media management tools such as Hootsuite; Google Ads; Facebook Ads Manager; LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Advanced computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and experience using content management systems and social media account management.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills, strong analytical abilities, critical and strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and compile statistical data.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of proven work experience as a Digital Media Specialist, including experience developing and promoting content for the web, social media, traditional news media, and print publications.
  • Prior communications experience at a global development organization or working on global issues is helpful.
