We are hiring a Senior Warehouse Manager to provide overall management of 4 warehouses in Unity State, South Sudan. In this role you willlead warehouse staff to provide high quality warehousing services, in accordance with the World Food Programme (WFP) and Samaritan’s Purse Standard Operating Procedures. In this role you will lead efforts to ensure staff safety and maintain accountability of food commodities. A day in the life of a Senior Warehouse Manager:

In the role of Senior Warehouse Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Provide the overall management of the warehouses, with well-functioning control mechanisms put in place, for all food storage, handling, and movement
- Prepare and implement effective commodity management plans and quality control
- Implement strategy to mitigate commodity loss
- Prepare contingency plans and continuous logistics preparedness reviews in close coordination with internal and external partners
- Conduct warehouse inspections
- Set up spoiled commodity quarantine mechanisms and quarantine all spoiled commodities for disposa
- Lead and supervise all Warehouse Supervisors and Store Keepers
- Train and lead staff on system implementation to track, report, and correspond with external partner
- Collect and share accurate reports with internal and external partners on a regular basis
- Provide training and capacity-building opportunities for staff
- Create a motivating and an encouraging work environment
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration with 5+ years’ experience in humanitarian logistics or warehousing operations, preferably in WFP related operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in managing staff and strong capacity development skills.
- A high level of diplomacy and networking skills is required.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physically fit.
- Ability to manage work with minimum supervision.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required); Arabic would be a plus

Travel Expectations: Travel Expectation: 20-30 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
