Head Of Health And Nutrition Department – Cameroon At Action Against Hunger France

YOUR POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of this position is to define strategies and coordinate Action Against Hunger’s interventions in the field of health and nutrition .

Your main responsibilities are:

  • To design, capitalize on and evaluate nutritional and health interventions as well as advocacy actions in its sector.
  • To monitor and coordinate programs in the areas of nutrition and health.
  • Manage the Nutrition and Health team in the capital and be the functional manager of the Nutrition and Health Program Managers at the bases.
  • Develop and lead programs and advocacy efforts in partnership with national and local stakeholders.
  • To represent ACF and promote its positions in the field of health and nutrition.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Education: Bac +5 in Public Health, with a medical or paramedical background (nurse, midwife, pharmacist, doctor) and a diploma in humanitarian project management.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in humanitarian work, including at least 2 years in program coordination or in an equivalent position within a national or international NGO.
  • Managerial and strategic skills: Ability to define and lead a strategy, supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team, delegate effectively, manage conflicts and make quick and relevant decisions.
  • Interpersonal and personal skills: Leadership, active listening, collaborative spirit, adaptability, resilience in the face of stress and strict respect for values ​​and confidentiality.
  • Languages: Fluency in French required; knowledge of English is an asset.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE
The Action Against Hunger recruitment procedure comprises 3 key steps:

2. A written technical test
3. An oral interview
