Partnership Officer for Capacitating Strategic Organizations to Strengthen the Civil Society Organization Sector (CSO2)

Role Purpose

Partnership is a key component of the Capacitating Strategic Organizations to Strengthen the Civil Society Organization Sector (CSO2) which aims to strengthen the capacity of CSOs and CSO networks that can serve as Learning Resource Organizations (LROs). The Partnership Officer is important in ensuring the efficient and effective management of partnership agreements that are critical in delivering Project objectives. Specifically, the Partnership Engagement Officer (PEO) will have three main functions:

  • Provide main administrative support, particularly with regards to management of subgrant and small grant agreements, in ensuring compliance in the partnership management protocols and standards of USAID-SCP CSO2 partnerships
  • Coordinate project activities involving partners that are initiated and/or organized by the Consortium, by the partners themselves, project consultants, and other partners engaged by the project
  • Gather the reports and other partnership reportorial requirements for submission to SCP and USAID
  • Collect, synthesize and analyze data on partnership that will help improve current and future partnership engagements
  • Assist in managing the platform for collection, aggregation, and analysis of partners’ information (i.e, partner’s reports and feedback, database, Trello board)

The Partnership Officer is responsible for supporting the CSO2 Project in upholding the Partnership Management standards, requirements, and processes of both USAID and SCP. The post holder shall work under the Partnership Specialist in ensuring that partnership significantly contributes to the realization of the project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A graduate degree in a social science course, public administration, human resource management, or other related fields. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a post graduate degree course
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in the development or NGO setting, with at least 1 year of experience in partnership-based programming, networking or working in coalitions; experience in humanitarian work is desirable
  • Knowledge of local civil society governance structures, strategy development, and structure and system development
  • Good skills and experience in all aspects of program cycle management – design and development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation
  • Above average oral and written communication skills;
  • Computer literate and adept in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Trello, Kobo
  • An excellent team player with good skills in team work and consultative approach to decision making
  • Willing to work long hours toward the attainment of program objectives and deliverables
  • Willing to travel to any part of the country as needed for the Project and maybe requested by Save the Children Philippines for its humanitarian response
  • Sensitive to issues affecting children and committed to the values, mission and principles of Save the Children.
