Founded in 1991, Islamic Relief France (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to emergency relief and development. SIF is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for its mission based in Dakar, Senegal.
Mission
Reporting to the Head of Mission, you will be responsible for managing the field teams.
Your main tasks will be as follows (non-exhaustive and subject to change):
- Contribute to the development of the mission’s operational strategy: analysis of the context and its evolution, development
of problem trees and proposed solutions, analysis of needs studies, proposal of new actions; - Lead the development of mission procurement plans with project managers and ensure their implementation with
the logistics team; - Ensure proper management of mission stocks;
- Advising project teams on logistical matters: briefing, planning, monitoring, supervision,
performance review, strengthening technical knowledge, etc.; - Supervise the monitoring and maintenance of motorcycle/car vehicles at all bases;
- Participate in the implementation of the mission’s security plan: general security assessment and definition/update
of procedures; - Participates in the preparation of the logistics section of donor reports according to the required frequency.
Profile
- Required diploma: BAC + 5 BIOFORCE certification in Logistics;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position;
- Good writing skills, with experience in team management, good knowledge of the donor environment, and experience in risk management and safe humanitarian access;
- Excellent command of computer tools, particularly the Office suite;
- Strong sense of priorities and responsibility, excellent organizational and planning skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with versatility, adaptability, and flexibility. Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness, combined with rigor, professionalism, dynamism, and the ability to manage stress effectively.
Conditions :
• Fixed-term contract for specific purposes, 6 months, full-time, renewable;
• Contract start date: As soon as possible;
• Remuneration according to profile;
• Per diem, Guest House;
• Health insurance – 60% covered by SIF;
• Repatriation insurance – 100% covered by SIF;
• Break allowance during breaks at 3 and 9 months;
• Round-trip airfare / mission location to home – covered by SIF at 6 and 12 months.
