Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is a non-governmental organization that fights against hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principals- independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been part of its identity for 45 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of under-nutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts or natural disasters. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director for Programmes, you will develop and scale up, and guarantee the quality and relevance of the ACF FSL strategy and programmes in Yemen in conformity with ACF and international standards and national policies.
Your main responsibilities will be to :
Contribute to defining the country strategy and positioning of the FSL technical department
Coordinate needs assessments and analysis and design project proposals
Technically oversee the implementation of programmes/projects
Ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of FSL intervention at country level
Ensure the active participation of Action Against Hunger in national sectoral coordination and technical forums and develop sectoral partnerships
Manage a team : 1 FSL Program Manager directly and the FSL team (2 FSL supervisors and 4 FSL monitors) indirectly
Promote capitalization, technical development and research within the FSL Department

Profile :
You hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in agriculture or social sciences or related field.
You have at least 5 years of field experience with humanitarian NGO in FSL sector, and at least 2 to 3 years of experience in the same or similar positions.
You have experience working in developing and urban contexts, and working in the Middle East.
You are fluent in English (both spoken and written). Arabic will be considered an asset.
Conditions d’emploi
National applications :
Basic Salary: USD 2,803 – 3,349 per month (depending on experience)
Transportation Allowance: USD 120 per month
Eid Bonus: One full month of basic salary per year50% paid during Eid al Fitr
50% paid during Eid al Adha
Annual Leave: 2.5 days per month
Medical Insurance: Coverage for the employee and up to six (6) dependents
International applications :
Fixed term contract under French legislation: 8 months
Monthly gross salary from 2597 to 2968euros upon experience, including 13th month
Reimbursement of the pension insurance for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
Annual salary increase: 6% increase after and each 12 months of continuous contract
Monthly per diem and living allowance: 730$ net, field paid
Monthly country allowance: 450euros
Child allowance: 1500euros per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000euros/year)
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
Medical coverage: ACF covers 100% of the health and repatriation insurance agreement fees, for your medical expenses and up to 1 month after the end of your contract.
Salary sustainment measures (sickness, paternity, maternity)
Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year, airfare reimbursement with a ceiling to get to the chosen break destination, and 215 euros for each RnR period
