Handicap International (HI) is an independent and impartial international solidarity organization that intervenes in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict, and disaster. Working alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, it takes action and bears witness to meet their essential needs, improve their living conditions, and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights. Present in 58 countries, HI implements activities to support vulnerable populations, refugees, displaced persons, disaster victims, people with injuries, and populations exposed to the dangers of weapons, ammunition, and explosive devices.

Context and role

As Donor Acquisition and Engagement Lead, reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will directly contribute to the acquisition and retention of donors for Handicap International Luxembourg, while ensuring a high-quality, human, and committed donor relationship. To achieve this, you will develop, coordinate, and optimize various acquisition and engagement channels.

You will be joining a human-sized organization of approximately 20 people, with whom you will work across departments.

In order to identify and seize opportunities, and to maximize the effectiveness of your actions, you will also work across departments with the Philanthropy and Partnerships department, and in a coordinated manner with the Communication, ECM (Education for Global Citizenship) and Development and Emergency Aid Projects departments.

Main tasks:

• Implement and coordinate the recruitment of new donors in the field (door-to-door, private places, events, targeted actions in companies or schools).

•Deploy telemarketing campaigns (reactivation, lead qualification, welcome calls, post-first donation engagement).

•Develop donor lifetime value through retention campaigns, payment incident handling, conversion of one-time donors into regular donors, and upgrades.

•Design, test and improve operational tools (scripts, arguments, materials).

• Monitor, analyze and optimize the performance of actions taken.

•Produce activity reports and operational analyses.

• Ensure a quality donor relationship, by handling requests via various channels (telephone, email, mail) and ensuring a positive experience at each interaction.

•To provide cross-departmental support for actions and events carried out by other departments in order to stay in touch with our audiences

Profile

You have proven experience in a sales, development or collection role, including field contact and telemarketing.

•You have mastered sales, argumentation and mobilization techniques, and are comfortable with office tools, CRM tools and results tracking.

•You are autonomous, rigorous and organised, with a strong sense of priorities.

•You have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong sense of service, and know how to listen, persuade, and build lasting relationships.

•You have the ability to analyze, structure and present results.

•You know how to structure, organize and disseminate operational practices.

•Experience in the non-profit, humanitarian or social and solidarity economy sector is preferred.
