Purpose:
To support the operational implementation in the field of the project for targeting, setting up, and delivering food assistance, by carrying out beneficiary registration, community organization, logistical support, and field monitoring to ensure efficient and orderly distribution. The Community Facilitator will promote community development processes focused on the rights of children and youth and the Triple Nexus, by strengthening active citizenship, developing advocacy strategies with decision-makers to ensure the exercise of rights, with special emphasis on girls and young women, efficiently managing institutional approaches and policies that impact the lives of children and youth, and complying with corporate standards related to their role.
General responsibilities
– Validate beneficiary lists and register beneficiaries in the communities.
– Administer surveys, forms, or data collection tools for targeting.
– Verify information on beneficiary households according to project criteria.
– Support the organization and logistics of food assistance distribution points.
– Coordinate with community leaders to convene beneficiaries.
– Provide guidance to beneficiaries on delivery processes and requirements.
– Support the control of attendance lists and verification during food distribution.
– Report incidents, needs, or irregularities observed in the field.
– Gather information for project monitoring and follow-up.
– Support community awareness activities related to the project.
PROBLEM SOLVING:
Ability to identify and respond promptly to situations that may affect the implementation of activities in the communities. This includes detecting inconsistencies in beneficiary records, resolving difficulties during the organization of food deliveries, coordinating with community leaders in the event of unforeseen circumstances, and proposing practical actions that allow the project activities to continue efficiently, ensuring that food assistance reaches the beneficiary population effectively.
Knowledge, skills, behaviors, and experience required to achieve the job objectives:
Academic Qualifications and Experience
– Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a program such as Management and Social Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, and/or related fields.
– At least two (2) years of experience in humanitarian programs and projects, social development, and/or similar work within a development organization.
– Ability to work with children and youth in community development activities with a focus on rights, age, gender, and inclusion.
– Knowledge of program and/or project monitoring and evaluation.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet.
– Valid driver’s license for 4×4 vehicles (desirable).
