The UNESCO Science Sector is seeking a qualified company to conduct the final evaluation of the project “Supporting Member States in Implementing UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence through Innovative Tools”, funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships.
The evaluation will assess the project’s performance and achievements throughout its implementation period (July 2023 – June 2026), with a particular focus on how it has supported Member States in integrating ethical principles into national AI policies and frameworks.
The main objectives of the evaluation are to:
• Assess the extent to which the project has translated UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence into national and/or regional institutional and regulatory frameworks throughout its implementation period.
• Review the project’s performance, generate lessons learned, and provide strategic recommendations to inform future programming and support the scaling up of tools and approaches related to AI ethics.
