1. Background
The Peace Track Initiative (PTI) is a women-led organization working to advance inclusive peacebuilding, women’s political participation, and conflict transformation in Yemen and the wider MENA region. PTI supports women leaders, civil society actors, and peacebuilders through research, policy engagement, capacity strengthening, and the development of practical tools that enhance meaningful participation in peace and political processes.
As political transitions, peace negotiations, and governance challenges continue to shape the region, there is an increasing need for individuals and organizations to strengthen their ability to provide informed political advice, analyze complex political dynamics, and influence decision-making processes. Effective political advising requires a combination of analytical, strategic, and communication skills, as well as an understanding of local, regional, and international political contexts.
To address this need, PTI seeks to engage a consultant to develop a Political Advising Guide tailored to national contexts. The guide will serve as a practical resource for civil society leaders, women political activists, peacebuilders, and emerging political advisors seeking to strengthen their capacity to engage in political processes, develop policy positions, and provide evidence-based political advice.
The guide will also contribute to PTI’s broader objective of strengthening feminist leadership and increasing the meaningful participation of women and civil society actors in peacebuilding, governance, and political decision-making processes.
