RECOFTC is inviting candidates to apply for the position of IT Specialist. The
successful applicant will be based in the RECOFTC main office in Bangkok,
Thailand. The contract duration is for 24 months with a possibility of extension
subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. The position is for Thai
nationals only.
Tasks and Duties
The IT Specialist is a member of RECOFTC Knowledge Management and Strategic
Communication Unit, and works under the supervision of the Digital Development
and Knowledge Management Manager based at RECOFTC main office in Bangkok,
Thailand. The IT Specialist supports IT infrastructure for RECOFTC and is
responsible in maintaining RECOFTC’s digital platforms as they are modernized in
line with the organization’s strategy.
Specific tasks and duties include:
• Ensure connectivity and the security of RECOFTC on-site by maintaining the
network infrastructure, servers, equipment and other on-premise IT
infrastructure including day-to-day technical support and ‘trouble-shooting’
• Support RECOFTC’s digital transformation program and the implementation
of RECOFTC’s business operating systems working with contracted services
• Responsible for digital platforms and upgrades for Software as a Service
(SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) including in AWS and MS Azure
• Responsible for Microsoft 365 administration including user management,
Exchange, SharePoint
• Ensure timely equipment maintenance, upgrade and replacement and work
with country and project administrative officers to provide specifications and
review procurements across RECOFTC’s seven country offices
• Interact with Programs, Operations and Country offices to ensure
understanding of business needs and efficient support is delivered
• Support inventory control and asset management for information technology
systems and equipment
• Ensure system administration and ensure that user’s training manuals are
maintained and up-to-date
• Participate in the annual budget planning for ICT and management of
RECOFTC’s ICT budget
• Apply relevant IT policies as well as ensure compliance with RECOFTC’s
Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct, and Gender Policy
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Digital Development and
Knowledge Management Manager, and KMSC Unit Director
Qualifications and experience
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or any related areas
• Five years’ experience in IT system management for organizations or independent
business teams
• Excellent IT infrastructure knowledge including hardware, server and networking
systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to effectively provide information
to IT peers and service providers for seamless issue resolution while effectively
communicating to end-users
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Experience in managing cloud infrastructure in Azure cloud and/or Amazon Web
Services (AWS)
• Good understanding of information technology support procedures, inventory
management and procurement
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Thai National only
Desired
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power BI
• Experience with business operating systems and ERP systems including finance and
human resources functions
• Experience working in an international organization and non-governmental organization
environment
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
