Intern – Audiovisual Production Assistant (M/F) At Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in cases of armed conflict, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care.

Assignment

The communications department, made up of around twenty people divided into five services (operational communications, production service, digital service, press relations, events), ensures a consistent dissemination of messages in coordination with the management and the MSF movement.

Within the MSF OCP production team, you will primarily participate in video content editing, adapting content produced by the MSF movement for MSF France networks into French, and managing the department’s raw footage, archives, and servers. You may also provide occasional support during filming as needed by the team.

Main responsibilities

  • To ensure the editing of video content (reviewing footage, editing, graphics, subtitling)
  • Adapting video content produced by other sections of the MSF movement into French, intended for the MSF France network (subtitling, graphic design)
  • To ensure the editing of video content (reviewing footage, editing, graphics, subtitling)
  • Organize and process the rushes on the production servers (naming, folder structure, backup)
  • Classify and index content in the service’s multimedia archives (photos, videos)
  • To provide occasional support during filming, as needed by the team (camera assistance, sound, basic logistics )

Desired profile

Education/Experience:

  • Bac+2/3 in audiovisual, editing, communication or equivalent

SKILLS :

  • Proficient in Premiere Pro and the Adobe suite

LANGUAGES :

  • A good understanding of English is necessary to work with the movement’s source content.

Required qualities :

  • A sense of organization and attention to detail are useful for archiving and server management work.
  • Interest in the humanitarian sector

Status and conditions:

  • 6-month internship, with mandatory internship agreement.
  • Based in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.
  • The amount of the stipend is between €4.35 and €7.70 gross per hour depending on the level of education.
  • One meal voucher is allocated per day worked, with a face value of €12 (60% covered by MSF).
  • 2 paid days off per month.
  • Coverage of 50% of public transport subscription (weekly, monthly or annual) or bicycle mileage allowance (€0.25 per km, limited to €450 per year).
