Here’s where you come in:

As the Finance & Support Services Director for World Vision Angola, you will provide overall leadership, oversight and management support for all aspects of financial management, supply chain (procurement), ICT (Information Technology) and Administration in the Field Office. You will be a strategic partner and a member of the Field Office’s Senior Management/Leadership Team.

The overarching focus of this position is to ensure the office’s financial and support functions provide transparency, accountability, world class stewardship, coordinated planning and budgeting to the rest of the organisation. This includes providing accurate financial data, strong and strategic analysis and advice, as well as developing and implementing a financial strategy that best serves the Office’s strategic and program objectives.

You will lead your staff in providing world class internal controls, risk management, and asset safeguarding according to World Vision approved policies and procedures as well as globally accepted standards.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum Educational level required: Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years Accounting and Financial experience in a Field Office for an International Non-Government Organisation, with a minimum of five years’ experience in Leadership in leading Support Services (Administration, IT, Fleet, Supply Chain Management). Experience in risk assessment and risk management.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFPS), Budgeting principles, Grant Management and Grant Accounting, familiarity with major donor (e.g. USAID, Global Fund, World Bank, WFP) regulations, familiar with SunSystems and Power BI.
  • Ability to travel to implementation sites and regional meetings as required
  • Language Requirements: English and Portuguese and/or Spanish required.
