The ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok seeks to fill the following position:
Forensic Trainer, based in Bangkok
We are looking for a spirited team player with a can-do attitude to join our dynamic team.
Under the supervision and guidance of the Regional Forensic Manager in Bangkok Regional Delegation acting as representative of the Forensic Global Management Team, and building on existing training materials, the Forensic Trainer develops, and implements training courses and programs related to Humanitarian Forensic Action. A strong coordination will be maintained with the main training activities already ongoing within the Unit (specifically the International Center for Humanitarian Forensics as part of the National Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar, India).
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyse existing training material, potential gaps, learning needs in relation to the Forensic Unit’s Strategic Framework and role functional competencies (under development)
- (re)Design, develop forensic training materials and programs and ensure alignment with the framework of the Learning and Development Unit (LnD) and existing training offers of the Protection Unit
- Deliver forensic courses and/or support and coordinate forensic training delivery, in collaboration with forensic course facilitators for online and face-to-face courses
- Define a training assessment method, carry out the evaluation of training, deliver reporting
- Plan and organize the administrative and logistics aspect of forensic training courses
- Develop knowledge-sharing tools, update all relevant forensic training/information materials (Forensic WIKI, communities, toolbox).
- Plan and develop the forensic training budget, annual planning and training programs
- Together with the forensic Talent Manager, carry out and analyse gaps, learning needs and evaluation of the global forensic workforce to translate those into actionable training programs
- Contribute to the development of the Forensic Unit’s learning strategy
YOUR PROFILE:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in medical, biological, or forensic sciences, educational sciences.
- 6 years of professional experience out of which at least 2 linked to teaching, design/participation to the design of forensic curriculum and 2 years involving forensic casework
- Fluent command of English; knowledge of other ICRC languages an asset.
- Computer proficiency.
