We operate in Mexico City, Tapachula, Chiapas, and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, where our teams work to meet the direct needs of people in the context of human mobility and survivors of violence (returnees, refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced communities).

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Implement child protection, psychosocial well-being, education, and community integration activities for children, adolescents, youth, and caregivers in contexts of human mobility, contributing to the reduction of protection risks, emotional recovery, access to and retention in education, social cohesion, and the strengthening of community protection mechanisms. The designated individual will facilitate participatory methodologies in child-friendly spaces, group psychosocial support activities, educational activities, and community actions aimed at promoting safe, protective, and inclusive environments for children and adolescents. They will also identify protection needs and risks, conduct early detection and referrals according to institutional procedures, promote the meaningful participation of children and adolescents, and strengthen the capacities of caregivers, host communities, schools, and community actors to foster the integration and protection of the participating population.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
This person will be responsible for:
- Implement psychosocial support and child protection activities that strengthen emotional well-being, resilience, and protective factors for children, adolescents, and young people.
- Facilitate educational support and school inclusion actions that contribute to the access, retention and educational reintegration of girls, boys and adolescents in contexts of human mobility.
- Develop activities in safe and friendly spaces that promote meaningful participation, integral development and the exercise of rights of girls, boys and adolescents.
- Strengthening the capacities of mothers, fathers and caregivers through training processes that promote protective parenting practices, family well-being and child protection.
- Promote coexistence, inclusion and social cohesion between migrant populations and host communities through community participation and the strengthening of protection networks.
- To record, document and report in a timely manner the implementation of activities, contributing to the monitoring, learning and continuous improvement of the project.
- Ensure the availability and proper use of the logistical and material resources necessary for the implementation of all activities under your responsibility.
- Comply with the administrative, financial and procurement policies and procedures applicable to the project.
- Promote safe environments for carrying out programmatic activities, through the application of security protocols, the identification of risks and the implementation of mitigation measures.
- Promote the effective integration of Safeguarding, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEAH) and Gender Equality and Inclusion policies in all activities under its responsibility.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in education, pedagogy, psychology, social work, sociology, community development or related disciplines.
- Minimum three years of experience in child protection, education, psychosocial support, community development or humanitarian action.
- Experience facilitating groups of girls, boys, teenagers and adults.
- Experience in human mobility contexts, emergency education or child protection is desirable.
- Experience in coordinating with schools, communities, and institutional actors.
Digital and technological skills
- Dominio de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel y PowerPoint).
- Teams and SharePoint management.
- Use of digital tools for data collection.
- Basic management of databases and programmatic evidence.
