Who we are?
IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management

Job Description – General Nurse
- Provide nursing care to patients and monitor their health condition
- Measure, monitor, and document vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments according to medical prescriptions
- Perform necessary nursing procedures based on the patient’s condition
- Monitor any changes in the patient’s condition and report them to the physician
- Apply infection prevention and control measures and patient safety procedures
- Document nursing care and ensure proper handover and takeover of patients
- Collaborate with the medical team and provide support to patients and their families
Job Description –(NICU) Nurse
- Provide nursing care to newborns and premature infants and monitor their health condition
- Monitor vital signs, medical equipment, and incubators
- Administer medications and treatments according to medical prescriptions
- Monitor and document feeding, weight, and output
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation when required
- Apply infection prevention and control measures and patient safety procedures
- Document nursing care and ensure proper handover and takeover between shifts
- Communicate and coordinate with physicians, the medical team, and parents when required
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the work environment and medical equipment
Note: The Independent Doctors Association welcomes newly graduated nurses to undertake training within its hospitals to gain practical experience and enhance their skills in providing high-quality medical services. Newly graduated nurses may contact the administration of the hospital closest to their place of residence in Al-Ghandoura or Afrin to inquire about available training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree or diploma
- Previous experience working as a nurse in hospitals
- At least two years of experience as a licensed nurse
