ESSENTIAL
Under the supervision of the Director of Belgian Operations and HR Manager, you are responsible for implementing the HR strategy on Belgian projects ; you are the point of contact between the HR department and the staff on Belgian projects; you are the guarantor of the application of the HR / HR policy framework for staff ; you are also responsible for the application of the volunteer policy in Belgium by supervising the Volunteer Responsible.
TASKS
The main missions of the Coordinator / HR Director Belgian Projects are subdivided into several roles, as follows:
As HR partner :
You are the focal point for workers in Belgium and you ensure the communication/transmission of information relating to the management of the HR cycle of staff (recruitment, induction, training, evaluations, administrative management). You take care of the well-being of the workers.
Examples of tasks:
- Recruit employees for Belgian operations
- Ensure the induction of any new employee into the organization
- Respond to employee inquiries
- Transmit information from the HR department (memorandum, etc.) to employees
- Contribute to the definition of HR needs and job profiles
As an HR Expert:
You are the guarantor of the implementation of the HR strategic plan in Belgian projects. You transmit and implement HR policies to the staff of Médecins de Monde. You advise team managers in their management and personnel management. You manage the Volunteer Manager on volunteer management.
Examples of tasks:
- Communication and implementation of any new HR policy
- Train managers in HR tools and policies
- Support managers in conflict management, disciplinary procedures, etc.
As a collaborator of the Belgian operations coordination team and the HR department:
You are responsible for maintaining constructive relations with the Belgian operations support coordination team and for supporting and implementing the Belgian strategy in the field.
You contribute to the reflection on HR policies as well as the implementation strategy by providing the needs expressed by the field/staff, and you also contribute to the proper functioning of the HR department.
YOUR PROFILE
- You have a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or Social Sciences or equivalent experience.
- You have held a similar position for more than 3 years.
- You know the steps of project management and can coordinate the work accordingly with a results-oriented orientation and a strategic vision.
- You can show leadership, motivation, coaching and coordination.
- You are a unifying person, you encourage collaboration between team members and between different teams.
- You know how to face conflicts and act as a conflict mediator.
- You are bilingual (French-Dutch). You are able to communicate in English.
- You have a good command of the office package (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
- You have excellent interrelational skills as well as easy contact with others. You are curious about others.
- You are an expert in organization and planning.
- You are solution-oriented and face challenges with a lot of reactivity and autonomy.
- You show a real interest in MdM, its purpose and its mission.
WE OFFER

- A full-time contract of indefinite duration (39 hours).
- Place of work: Brussels; with regular trips to the various projects (Antwerp, Brussels, Wallonia).
- A gross salary of €3,250.54 for 2 years of experience; a gross salary of €3,346.14 for 5 years of experience; a gross salary of €3,505.48 for 10 years of experience. Recognized relevant experience.
