Context: Operating in the field of child protection, SOS VEM co-finances and supports the implementation of development and emergency programs, currently in Africa and Latin America with the financial support of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs ( MAOEE ). The organization actively promotes and defends the best standards of ethical and professional conduct in matters of child protection and safeguarding ( SE ) and prevention and protection against harassment, sexual exploitation and abuse ( PHEAS ). She is a member of the SOS Kinderdorf International Federation ( SOS KDI ).
The. The Emergency Aid / Nexus Manager, based ( e ) in Luxembourg, will have the main function of ensuring the coordination and monitoring of emergency projects implemented in the field by NGO partners.
Responsibilities
- Program management
- Design
- Ensure the quality and efficiency of the program design and development process : ensuring and coordinating stakeholder participation throughout the different phases of the program development and formulation process ; ensuring the quality of program formulation through the support of technical experts to national and local teams ;
- Ensure the quality and compliance of program documents to be submitted to the donor ;
- Support
- Ensure the quality of the implementation of the programs and their progression according to the GAR ( Management Axed Results ) / NEXUS towards the results aligned with the international indicators ( CAD, CHS, etc. ) ;
- Administrative and financial monitoring
- Ensure efficient and effective use of financial resources, and the quality of financial reports ;
- Ensure the objectivity and completeness of narrative reports ;

Profile :
Know-how :
- Master in project management or equivalent
- Confirmed experience in management of international solidarity projects on the ground, ideally in NGO or OSI, with application of child protection standards ;
- Mastery and confirmed practice of Results-Based Management and very good control of the project cycle ;
- Affirmed powers to manage projects under institutional funds ( compliance with donor rules, drafting of project proposals, etc. ) ;
- Capacity building / training experience ;
- Strategic vision and ability to formulate and popularize it ;
- Financial management skills ( accounting reading and monitoring of internal control )
- Previous experience in managing partnerships with local associations is an asset ;
- Very good organizational and editorial capacities ;
- Mobility in intervention countries and in Europe ( participation in working groups and international meetings ) ;
- Master of French and English Languages ;
- Mastery of classic IT tools in Windows environment
- Previous experience in the nutrition / health and education sectors are assets.
