IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects

Job Summary : Supervising The IT Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all IT equipment and systems used by the Ambulatory and Referral Center and its sub-centers, ensuring that it devices and software remain functional and available to support uninterrupted referral and emergency dispatch operations.
Main tasks and Activities :
• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware at the central emergency call center and the referral sub-centers.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all IT equipment and maintain an up-to-date inventory of devices per location.
• Coordinate the installation and functioning of CCTV/security systems where applicable.
• Provide first-line technical support to control center and sub-center staff, responding promptly to reported IT issues (hardware, connectivity, or basic software problems).
• Diagnose and resolve internet connectivity issues, hardware malfunctions, and Support staff in the day-to-day use of the ambulance coordination/tracking software and other digital tools.
• Support the deployment, updates, and basic configuration of the referral coordination software and related applications on control center devices.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting the digital service/capacity mapping tool and dashboard used for coordination.
• Conduct regular technical visits to the referral sub-centers across Aleppo Governorate health administration areas to check equipment functionality and resolve on-site issues.
• Train sub-center focal points on basic troubleshooting steps and proper use/care of IT equipment.
• Coordinate with the contracted IT/software company on system updates, bug fixes, and technical support requests.
• Support procurement processes by providing technical specifications or assessments for IT equipment purchases and repairs, as requested.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor in support of the referral system’s smooth operation.
• Commitment to working in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Internal Regulations, and policies for preventing exploitation, sexual abuse, and child protection.
Requirements
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in IT support, technical maintenance, or a similar role, preferably within an NGO, healthcare, or humanitarian context.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and networking equipment
• Experience supporting or maintaining software systems/applications is an advantage.
• Solid working knowledge of computer hardware installation, configuration, and repair.
• Good understanding of networking basics (LAN/Wi-Fi setup, IP configuration, router/modem troubleshooting).
• Basic understanding of data security practices (backups, user access control, antivirus management).
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and/or solar power backup systems is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to diagnose and resolve technical issues under time pressure.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to sub-centers across Aleppo Governorate.
