The SMART Project boss position aims to ensure programmatic, technical and financial and logistical development, efficiently, quality and relevance of the Nutritional survey under SMART methodology in Colombia under its charge, in accordance with the mandate, strategic criteria for Action against Hunger, the expectations of the target population and donors
Ensure excellence and quality in all actions necessary to achieve objectives, ensure compliance, in articulation with the project production unit and the technical coordination of health and nutrition.
The main activities you will carry out are the following:
Ensures and leads the quality in the project cycle of nutritional surveys under SMART methodology at your expense
- Ensures and leads the implementation and monitoring of the activity plan in time and quality, in accordance with the procedure already established by the organization and the required tools.
- It elaborates and monitors the achievement of results and objectives, using indicators established in the planning matrix.
- Manages your human resource to achieve the results foreseen in the project.
- It guarantees technical rigor of the activities to be carried out within the framework of the SMART nutritional surveys in its charge, coordinating the team and executing the desire and guidelines provided.
- It does the reading and review of the reports and products of the SMART management.
- Verify and analyze the data collected in the field, ensuring the transformation of data into information and knowledge relevant to the mission, which allows technical advocacy or new proposals.
- Actively participates in the monitoring of indicators, methodologies and measurement instruments and reports progress in a timely manner.
- It ensures that the activities carried out and indicators of the project’s actions are aligned and harmonized with the logical framework and the theory of change in the sector.
- Asegura la inclusión de aspectos relativos a género, diversidad sexual, y protección y su correlación con el hambre y la nutrición.
- Participa activamente en las reuniones de comités técnicos y las requeridas parea la coordinación y avances del proyecto.
- Supports and leads the resolution of problems and conflicts in a proactive way to the inconveniences found during the execution of the activities.
- He uses internal IT tools such as the No Hunger Forum (NHF), GESPRA and Alexandria to guarantee the flow of information between the project under his responsibility and the general mission and headquarters.
- Regularly reports project progress, difficulties, lessons learned to the Project Production Unit and the technical coordination of health and nutrition.
- Permanently reports progress of the action with its hierarchical and functional referents.
- Prepare, review and validate the reports to donors of the projects under his responsibility that are requested by the MEAL area.
- Generate alliances and coordinate with local authorities and potential new stakeholders (NGOs, agencies, etc.) that are relevant and interesting for the implementation of the SMART nutritional surveys under your responsibility, in coordination with the technical coordination of health and nutrition , that can enhance impacts or results.
- Manages and guarantees coordination spaces with the donor and members of the technical committee for the SMART nutritional survey.
- Ensure the use and implementation of measurement tools to assess the success of the activities described in the project and required in the SMART methodology.
- Maintain an adequate flow of information, prepare records and prepare reports as indicated by the project coordination and the reporting and MEAL area of the mission.
- Ensure Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) mechanisms: keep accurate records, work to achieve goals, and contribute to monitoring and development activities when necessary.
- Reviews and capitalizes on recommendations and learning from evaluations for feedback in formulation.
- Reports to the production unit and national coordination on the progress and results of the SMART nutritional survey under his responsibility.
Objective 2: Management of human resources of the project personnel under his charge.
- Prepares and conducts the induction of new members.
- Proposes training topics and content for staff.
- Organizes, motivates and monitors the priorities of project personnel under his charge.
- Coordinates, reviews and comments reports of the personnel under his charge.
- Inform the head of the base/region of the recruitment, follow-up and departure of the personnel linked to your project.
- Manages and coordinates the technical training of the teams in the local areas, to guarantee the quality of the nutritional data collection.
Objective 3: Logistical, administrative, financial, accounting and treasury management of the SMART nutritional survey and the activities associated with their responsibility.
- Coordinates, monitors and supervises logistics management of the SMART nutritional survey under his responsibility.
- Ensures and complies with the logistical rules and procedures of Action Against Hunger in your project.
- Coordinates and validates the budget planning of the project under his responsibility.
- Oversees the preparation of the expense forecast.
- Follow up and validate the purchasing processes that are carried out.
- Follow up and validate accounting information.
- Regularly reports the progress of the financial and administrative management of the project, difficulties, lessons learned to the head of the base/region.
Objective 4: Strictly comply with the security plan and measures to reduce the risk of activities.
- Actively participate in the monitoring and analysis of the security situation of the activities through the permanent collection of information using various sources of information.
- Immediately inform your direct manager about any security situation or incident (latent or effective).
- Strictly follow the safety plan and risk reduction measures.
- Regularly reports the progress of the project, difficulties, lessons learned to the production unit.
