Where you come in :
In this full-time, permanent position you will be based in any one of our Save the Children Australia offices or alternatively work remotely in a location that suits you. You will provide oversight and support to an assigned program portfolio, including identifying business opportunities to drive our international development and humanitarian programming, and managing partner relationships. You will be part of our Global Programs team and report to our Head of Global Programs.
You will make an impact by:
Being the key point of contact for Save the Children Country Offices in our Global portfolio for Asia, the Middle East and other regions, and working as the Project Lead on projects funded through Save the Children Australia.
Overseeing efficient and effective management of all programs in your portfolio, in line with agreed contracts, plans, budgets, risk mitigation and compliance requirements.
Building our development and humanitarian profile and nurturing relationships with key institutional and prospective donors and other partners.
Identifying business opportunities for the development of funding bids.
Identifying and responding to strategic trends and developments.

This role requires:
A high level of organisational and project and grant management skills.
Strong financial literacy.
Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region or similar developing country contexts, highly desirable.
A strong understanding of the Australian Government Aid program and requirements of DFAT as a donor and a strong understanding of other regional and global donors, highly desirable.
