About: Action Against Hunger
Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles—independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, and transparency—has defined its identity for 45 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection, and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around seven areas of activity: Nutrition and Health; Mental Health and Psychosocial Support; Food Security and Livelihoods; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene; Advocacy; Climate; and Research. Assignment :
Your mission will be to contribute to the implementation, technical quality, and development of the Humanitarian Worker Protection Mechanism by managing cases, supporting partners, and ensuring the application of international protection standards. You will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the mechanism’s tools, procedures, and practices to guarantee appropriate and consistent responses aligned with protection standards.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
– Processing, analyzing, and coordinating requests for support
; – Monitoring cases and protection grants
; – Coordinating with country partners and local stakeholders
; – Supporting the integration of protection through the strengthening of procedures, tools, and practices
; – Contributing to information analysis and the strategic development of the mechanism.
Profile:
You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international law, social sciences, international relations, or a related field, along with additional training in case management or protection-related programming.
You have at least two years of professional experience in case management and have worked with vulnerable families, civil society organizations, communities, and individuals. You demonstrate a strong understanding of protection principles and survivor-centered approaches.
Working in an international environment, you are fluent in both spoken and written French and English. You are proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.
You are autonomous, known for your proactive approach, innovative thinking, and ability to adapt to changing contexts.
You enjoy and are skilled at working in a team.
