Work environment:
Following the earthquake of September 8, 2023, the Moroccan Red Crescent (CRM) with the support of the CR/CR movement including the French Red Cross (CRF) provided assistance to those affected in close coordination with local authorities.
Three years after this disaster, the French Red Cross (CRF) continues to support the CRM (Regional Medical Center) with a multidisciplinary approach aimed at strengthening the CRM’s capacities in the medium and long term. This support takes the form of structural strengthening projects (HR and logistics management, financial empowerment, governance, etc.) for the CRM, as well as exchanges of technical expertise in the fields of first aid, training institutes, and mental health.
General mission of the DMI:
Under the authority of the Head of Delegation, the Logistics Manager contributes to the sustainable development of the Moroccan Red Crescent’s (CRM) logistics department’s capacities, in accordance with the strategy of the French Red Cross delegation in Morocco. In this capacity, they support skills development, the improvement of logistics systems, tools, and processes, as well as the gradual transfer of responsibilities to foster greater autonomy within the CRM’s logistics function.
He/she also ensures the planning, implementation and monitoring of purchasing, supply and logistics activities related to the operations of the French Red Cross, in compliance with current procedures, donor requirements and partnership agreements, in close coordination with the CRM and other actors of the Movement.
MISSIONS AND ACTIVITIES

Desired profile
Qualifications and experience
Training in logistics (such as Bioforce or a bachelor’s degree in logistics) and experience in a similar position, or a minimum of 3 years in a field logistics role.
SKILLS
Mandatory job requirements
- Good knowledge or experience of the Red Cross Movement (operation, mandates, etc.) and of partnership with the host National Society.
- Experience in training/support/coaching (ideally with local partners and/or national companies)
- Proficiency in purchasing procedures, inventory management, and fleet vehicle management
- Excellent teamwork skills. Comfortable and adaptable in interpersonal relationships, with strong organizational and national team management abilities.
- Knowledge of landlord procedures
- Strong writing skills and experience in project writing, skilled in report presentation, good synthesis and analytical abilities
- Great flexibility, patience
- Ability to adapt to different cultures and listen
- Ability to cope with various pressures
- Rigour, flexibility and adaptability
- Category B driving licence required
Desired skills

Employment conditions
- Status type : expatriate
- Contract type : Fixed-term contract under French law/end-of-contract bonus paid
- End-of-year bonus : equivalent to a 13th month’s salary, prorated to time worked.
- Per diem : daily per diem that varies depending on the country
- Leave : 5 weeks of paid leave per year and 21 days of compensatory time off – Airfare fully covered by the French Red Cross for travel between home and mission for 6-month leave periods
- Health coverage : CFE + MSH Mutual Insurance (100% coverage) – 75% covered by the CRf
- MedEvac/repatriation insurance : YES
- Other types of insurance : life insurance (death and disability)
Résumé
- Location: Rabat – with regular field missions (Marrakech, Taroudant, Chichaoua and other areas as needed)
- Duration: 6 months (renewable)
