Community Development Delegate in Senegal At Spanish Red Cross

We are seeking to incorporate a Community Development delegate into the Senegal Delegation, with the objective of managing the projects that are currently being implemented, providing continuity to the coordination of activities and the preparation of final reports to the donor, as well as to the relationship with the National Society

Essential Requirements:

  • Graduate or Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Project Management in developing countries minimum of 1 year.
  • Experience in monitoring and justifying projects financed by large public donors (EU, AECID, CCAA, City Councils, etc.) and private donors, of at least 1 year.
  • Knowledge of rights and gender approach in development
  • C1 level of spoken and written French (test may be taken).
  • Knowledge in Logical Framework and/or Theory of Change.
  • Windows Surrounding Domain (Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.)
  • Vulnerability orientation.

Valuable:

  • Postgraduate or master training in international cooperation.
  • Experience working in West Africa, particularly in Senegal. Knowledge of the country
  • Experience in negotiation with local counterparts
  • Experience and/or knowledge of management procedures and tools (application) in the Spanish Red Cross within the field of International Cooperation.
  • Experience and/or knowledge or Training of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, SSNN (especially African): IMPACT.
  • Basic competencies of the Spanish Red Cross: Commitment to the Spanish Red Cross, Achievement-perseverance orientation, Organization and planning capacity, and Collaboration.
  • Be a Red Cross employee or active volunteer or belong to any of the vulnerable population groups contemplated in the Red Cross Employment Plan

Features:

  • It will coordinate with the CRS, other CRE delegates in Senegal, and cooperation agents present in the country (Senegalese Red Cross and National Societies of the CR/RLM present in Senegal, Delegations of the IFRC/ICRC, AECID, EU, UN Agencies, Spanish and local NGOs working in the field of cooperation in Senegal, etc.);
  • He will carry out the dialogue on behalf of CRE with the cooperation agents present in Senegal and local and international media;
  • It will provide technical assistance to the Senegalese Red Cross in relation to the identification, formulation, execution, monitoring, evaluation and justification of cooperation projects in Senegal;
  • He will be responsible for the technical and economic monitoring of the execution of projects financed by or through CRE in Senegal;
  • Will prepare internal and external reports.
  • Those other tasks that may be relevant during the course of the mission within the framework of the action plan
