Technical Analyst – Consultant

Location: Remote: Argentina, Kenya, Moldova, or Romania.

This position may be based in Argentina, Kenya, Moldova, or Romania. However, candidates must be able to overlap at least four working hours with Washington, DC.

What you get to do

  • Lead software project teams through the SCRUM agile process, including sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, retrospectives, and requirement refinement sessions.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the project’s status and understand where efforts should be directed.
  • Perform technical risk management and be able to coordinate resources to lift impediments.
  • Perform technical data analysis for usage in software implementations, including import strategies, cleaning, and mapping.
  • Be the bridge between the technical and the product teams through a smooth communication process..
  • Define and review functional and non-functional software requirements with the product team.
  • Write technical documentation, including user and admin guides, training documentation, data dictionaries, etc.
  • Backlog project management
  • Mentorship and training for new team members.
  • Conduct and lead quality assurance, including defining testing plans, managing and executing testing processes, and triaging process execution with the testing team.

The necessary education, skills, and experience

  • Experience in a Scrum Master/Project Manager role for at least five years for a software development project (for example, Kanban, Scrum, XP).
  • Demonstrable experience working in software projects as a team member (for example, QA, Developer, Analyst)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of software development processes (requirements management, configuration management, development, testing, deployment)
  • Enthusiastic team player with outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills conducive to team development.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes and work on multiple projects.
  • Strong formal and informal leadership skills. Demonstrate the use of strong communication skills in interpersonal conflict conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Skills that will put you over the top:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification.
  • Proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL databases.

Position details:

This position will be full-time.

This position will be based in Argentina, Kenya, Moldova, or Romania. Preference will be given to candidates in and around the metro areas of Cordoba, Argentina; Nairobi, Kenya; Chisinau, Moldova; and Bucharest, Romania.

This position will be contracted on a consultancy basis, which does not include benefits but offers competitive hourly pay. The projected hourly consulting rate for this position is $25-30, based on location and experience level.
