NRC’s Donor Management (DM) section (External Relations Department) is embarking on a project to improve donor engagement (thus loyalty and profitability) through more advanced marketing automation tools and procedures. We expect to use an external vendor during this time that will lead the implementation effort, but we also need to increase the capacity of our team during this time to deliver on our obligations during this project period and secure the maximum effect.
This position, therefore, presents an interesting opportunity to work with the external vendor and internal stakeholders to ensure that we are successful with this project and the intended effects (efficiency, loyalty, and profitability).
What we are looking for:
NRC is seeking a highly qualified “Marketing Cloud Adviser” with documented knowledge with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud and demonstrated experience with and through understanding of communication and performance marketing.
What you will do:
Some of your specific responsibilities include:
Generic responsibilities
- Support the team – You will support the existing team during the project period to ensure that we can deliver on our contribution to the project, and that this is maintainable and sustainable over time.
- Accelerate our learning curve and results – It is essential that you have a solid understanding of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud, not only from a technical perspective, but also from a more practical perspective.
- Coordinate and produce – You will need to work across sections, with diverse stakeholders, and with our selected system integration vendor.
- Educate and share – You will not only assist us in delivering on our obligations, but also share your experience with the team, in an effort to further enhance the end result.
Specific responsibilities:
Using Marketing Cloud…
- Support the development of donor journeys.
- Support the development of templates and communication content.
- Support the development of segments and campaigns.
- Assist in testing.
- Assist in assessing results (metrics, impact, and learnings).
- Assist in documenting procedures, guidelines, and learnings.
- Support the (Marketing Cloud) competence development of others in the team, also sharing more practical experience.

What you will bring:
- Relevant education background.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Documented knowledge with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
- Documented experience with and through understanding of communication and performance marketing within donor (customer) management.

- Contract: National 6 months contract.
