Consultancy Contract for “Assessment of Viable Economic Activities in the Republic of Moldova” At Norwegian Refugee Council

NRC is seeking for services of consultancy to conduct a detailed mapping of viable economic activities that can potentially benefit refugees and vulnerable host community households in the northern districts of Moldova (Ocnita, Briceni and Soroca), and the Transnistria Region.

Qualifications and expertise required:

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Statistics or in a related field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in research and/or economic/livelihoods studies with previous working experience in Moldova or a similar context.
  • Strong background in managing research teams.
  • Technical expertise in carrying out assessments in rural areas.
  • Extensive knowledge of livelihoods programs.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Ukrainian, Romanian and/or Russian is an advantage.
  • Awareness of Ukraine crisis context.
  • Good knowledge of management of NGOs in general and familiarity with organizational development.
  • Adequate knowledge of the humanitarian, political and socio-economic situation in Moldova.

  3. Submit three (3) samples of similar previous assignments done in the past 5 years.
  4. NRC welcomes consultancies that pair local and international researchers where possible.
  5. A technical and financial proposal, based on the ToR requirements
