PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Within the Social Innovation Structure, the figure of the Community manager is part of the Territorial Development area which has the task of actively contributing to the construction of social innovation interventions on the identified territories, with the aim of generating paths of social impact and transformative in line with the strategy and according to the established methodologies.
The Community manager plays a decisive role in defining territorial social innovation paths as it allows us to experiment and learn about their feasibility and their actual ability to generate impact. Furthermore, the Community manager allows concrete adherence to the strategy through a timely reading of the needs, opportunities, critical issues and complexity of the places where he acts.
TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
- It facilitates, in coordination with the specific functions:
- The collection of aggregate and disaggregated quantitative data;
- The collection of qualitative data, with respect to which he participates in interviews and facilitates ethnographic research also with the mapping of the territory;
- He is responsible for reading needs and opportunities, risk factors and collecting relevant practices and experiences
In this function the CM works in coordination with the institutional funding structure, policy and data hub functions, under the guidance and supervision of the Territorial Development Manager.
- It facilitates and guarantees the creation, development and maintenance of territorial networks and the constant identification of new stakeholders, thus contributing to the construction of territorial participation paths and the better implementation of the interventions that are identified
- It guarantees a constant presence in the reference neighborhood, becoming a focal point for public territorial actors, citizens and third sector stakeholders
- He is responsible for planning the actions linked to the Development Plan in terms of:
- Collection and systematization of inputs emerging from the territory in order to construct new co-plannings (placed-based approach);
- Coordinates and guarantees the flow of co-planning at a territorial level with the partners of the interventions and actions included in the Development Plan for childhood and adolescence promoted by Save the Children (from the identification of territorial needs, to the drafting of the narrative proposal and financial, from implementation to monitoring of actions) combining strategic directions and methodological approaches, in collaboration with the MEAL structure and under the guidance and supervision of the Territorial Development Manager;
- Supervises and supports partners in collecting data to monitor project actions.
- Provides adequate supervision and constant support to local partners in resolving any emerging issues.
- It carries out a facilitator function for the local administration, both for the management of the territorial network and in the correct identification and destination of the PNRR funds in line with the mission and strategy of the Save the Children NPs and facilitates and guarantees at the territorial level the fundraising requests (proposal writing, field visits, etc.)
- He is the focal point of the “GG8 – Young Leaders for a sustainable future” project and ensures the landing of actions on the territory in coordination with the project leader
- He is the focal point for the Permanent Youth Committee, whose development and territorial interactions he facilitates, in collaboration with the implementing partner of the project
- Facilitates the definition of agreements, conventions and agreements with strategic partners and institutional actors, under the supervision of the Territorial Development Manager and in collaboration with the Partnership Excellence structure
- He is responsible for relations with local institutions in coordination with the regional representative of the Territorial Cohesion Structure
- Facilitates and guarantees the collection of content and communication products at a territorial level in coordination with the contact person of the Communication Structure, is spokesperson for the Organization for territorial communication and for any other possible need
- It is a focal point for the strategic development of the other Save the Children National Programs present in the territory or to be deployed locally and facilitates territorial interactions between the central headquarters and the territorial
- Represents the Organization in institutional, local and regional contexts, events, seminars and conferences at national and international level on the topics of social innovation
- Participates in the Structure’s coordination meetings and supports the Structure’s initiatives
- It guarantees adequate communication and timely updating of territorial developments, encouraging interaction within the various Save the Children departments, through internal coordination and reports
- Facilitates the collection of data by the evaluating body for the evaluation of the program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED
- Knowledge of the local context of reference (Prato and Macrolotto 0) in social and environmental terms and ability to read and analyze (inequalities, multidimensional factors of hardship and poverty, opportunities, territorial networks, etc.);
- At least 5 years of experience in developing intervention models with educational, social and transformative impact;
- Knowledge of the project writing phases (PCM or RBM) and proven experience of at least two years in design;
- Previous experience in building territorial networks as a coordinator of networks or field projects is essential;
- Previous experience as a researcher in fieldwork is welcome;
- Ability to combine vision, planning, implementation and monitoring of interventions
- Knowledge or being a native Chinese speaker will be considered a preferential requirement
- Multi-stakeholder relationship skills and management of strategic partnerships
- Dynamism and aptitude for change and working flexibly
- Ability to problem solve and search for innovative solutions
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
