Mediterranean Youth in Action Programme Leader At Anna Lindh Foundation

The MYA Programme Leader will act as a focal point of the “Mediterranean Youth in Action” programme, ensuring the correct and timely implementation of activities, related services and contracts, in accordance with the set objectives and calendar following the indications of the Executive Director.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a focal point of the “Mediterranean Youth in Action” programme, ensuring the correct and timely implementation of activities, related services and contracts, in accordance with the set objectives and calendar
  • Organise the activities foreseen in the work plan and supervise the tools’ implementation and methodologies, including the elaboration of calls, ToR, guidelines, templates, forms, and other support tools
  • Guarantee compliance with the targets, outputs and outcomes defined in the MYA formulation and coordinate the elaboration of the related narrative and financial reports and other formal documentation
  • Ensure close coordination with the different ALF Units: The Civil Society, Public Policies, Corporate Communication, Quality Control, Finance and Administration fostering synergies and complementarities to ensure the ALF’s high programme quality standards are achieved
  • Make sure the thorough assessment and the evaluation of the activities carried out, incorporating on a recurring basis monitoring procedures, impact assessments and lessons learned approaches
  • Carry out field missions related to specific meetings, events or field assessments and report about them
  • Perform any other function related to the position of MYA Programme Leader requested by the Executive Director.

Requisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field related to the key above-detailed responsibilities
  • Minimum five years of work experience in managing international development cooperation projects
  • Minimum five years of work experience in managing youth oriented projects
  • Minimum five years of work experience with civil society projects in the Mediterranean
  • Minimum five years of work experience in formulating international project proposals
  • Minimum five years of work experience in leading teams
  • Excellent written and oral English skills
  • Proficient knowledge of standard computer software (MS Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint and Outlook®)

  • Good written and oral Arabic skills
  • Good written and oral French skills
  • Experience managing projects related to evidence based research
  • Experience managing projects related to community based organisations
  • Experience managing projects related to social media outreach campaigns
