Programmatic Associate

ABA ROLI is looking for a person with skills in the development of programmatic activities, monitoring, evaluation and learning and institutional relations to occupy the position of Programmatic Associate or to perform functions in the “ Strengthening of Legal Representation ” Project of Workers and Unions in Mexico ”.

This position is intended to be part of a multinational project whose purpose is to support the improvement in the protection of the rights of workers and unions, in accordance with the new Mexican legislation within the framework of the T-MEC. Through providing capacity building assistance and facilitating collaboration among various stakeholders.

The selected candidate is expected to be based in Mexico City.

Job Description

Under the supervision and support of the Project Manager, the selected individual will play a critical role in providing programmatic support, including monitoring, evaluation and learning, as well as government relations.

Responsibilities

· Participates in the development and implementation of activities related to interinstitutional practices.

· Maintains and updates the calendar, contacts, curricula/syllabi and project activity manuals.

· Participates in the preparation of expense projections for activities.

· Assists in the design, development and presentation of technical reports.

· Prepares monthly and semi-annual reports to inform counterparts and donors regarding activities and produces communication products, reports, informative documents and presentations on various topics.

· Contributes to the organization of project events and provides substantive and specialized technical information.

· Conducts research analysis and produces written products.

· Maintains and maintains records on the technical and financial progress of project execution.

· Serves as a liaison with other areas of ABA ROLI, expert consultants and with the Mexican Government.

· Promotes a results-based approach to monitoring and evaluating activities, emphasizing impact and sustainability.

· Design and apply information collection instruments such as registration forms for course participants, satisfaction surveys, and knowledge tests.

· Expands and maintains government relations at the federal and state levels and with foreign governments.

· Supports communications with the donor to ensure that the project is implemented according to the established parameters or to make the necessary adjustments.

· Carries out communications with government institutions, expert consultants and with project beneficiaries.

· Prepare, attend and lead meetings with the donor and with government institutions.

· Periodically requests information from various institutions, either for programmatic activities or for monitoring and evaluation.

· Leads in the development of study plans for training and in the selection of trainers to develop these plans.

· Carry out timely follow-up with expert consultants.

· Assist public servants to receive training.

· Provides additional support as needed and required by ABA ROLI Mexico.

Basic Qualifications

· University degree in the humanities area.

· Professional fluency in Spanish (oral and written).

· Professional fluency in English (oral and written).

· Strong interpersonal group management skills.

· Implementation in one or several national or international projects.

· Proven experience with information management and data concepts.

· Have worked or supported in the area of ​​Monitoring and Evaluation.

· Ability to research and analyze data from internal and external sources.

· Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to create and deliver effective presentations.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to craft and adapt the message to the audience.

· Strong coordination and management skills of Project activities.
