About the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) Program
Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) is a Philippines-Australia partnership supporting quality inclusive kindergarten to grade 3 education for all children in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The program focuses on early years education as the foundation for life-long learning and development. By engaging and collaborating with a wide range of education stakeholders, promoting peace in education reform, and addressing inequity and disparity in education delivery, the program also contributes to peacebuilding in the region.
Delivered through the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), activities are directed towards strengthening education poli cies and institutions, ensuring accessible and inclusive education for all children, providing an integrated education system and curriculum, and improving teacher quality and development.
Pathways is implemented by Palladium in consortium with the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and Orient Integrated Development Consultants Inc (OIDCI).
The program’s base of operations is in Cotabato City and covers all five provinces of BARMM.
About the position
Child Protection: Level 1
The responsibilities of the individual do not involve contact and/or working with children.
The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for creating, editing, and managing Pathways multimedia content to enhance storytelling and audience engagement across various platforms. The role is expected to support the Pathways Communications Team in producing high-quality mul timedia content, ensuring increased audience engagement and reach through multimedia storytelling. This role may require flexible hours to cover events or meet deadlines. The position may involve travel for content production.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Multimedia Content Creation. Develop and produce multimedia content, including videos (AVPs, Facebook Reels, etc.), podcasts; design layouts for infographics/social media cards, photo essays, presentations, and visibility materials. This task involves storyboarding, scripting, shooting, editing, and publishing content.
Provide Editorial Support. Support the Pathways Communications Team in providing editorial direction for multimedia projects. Ensure content aligns with Pathways’ branding and style guidelines and editorial policy. Review, select, organise, and edit multimedia submissions from partners for quality and accuracy.
Collaboration and Coordination. Collaborate and coordinate with the Communications Team to effectively plan, design, and disseminate multimedia content.
Technical Proficiency. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of multimedia software and equipment. Ensure the technical quality of multimedia content.
Audience Engagement. Utilise multimedia content to engage audiences across various Pathways platforms, including social media, website, and e-newsletters.
Support to Training and Development. Provide guidance and training to staff on multimedia best practices.
Required Qualifications:
The Multimedia Specialist should possess the following qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, digital communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in multimedia content creation, including video and audio editing.
Strong understanding of storytelling techniques and editorial standards.
Proficient in multimedia editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
