The Humanitarian Logistics Cooperative (also known as “hulo”) is the first humanitarian cooperative that connects stakeholders and pools resources to optimize logistics and the supply chain. The members of hulo are ACTED, Action Against Hunger, BIOPORT, the French Red Cross, Fleet Forum, Handicap International / Humanity & Inclusion, Intersos, Médecins du Monde, Oxfam Intermón, Plan International, Première Urgence International, Solidarités International, and Welthungerhilfe.
Its objective is to increase the impact of humanitarian aid by strengthening links and solidarity between humanitarian logistics actors and improving performance through the pooling of logistics resources and expertise. and supply chain.

Hulo was created in June 2021, and today its permanent team is made up of around twenty people, spread across 5 countries (our headquarters in Montreuil, and 4 operational countries). We anticipate significant growth in the coming months as has been the case since the launch of the Cooperative. We work dynamically to grow this Cooperative and its impact, with daily challenges around innovation, structuring and continuous improvement of our activity.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Within the Digital Projects Department, you will join the Design & Development department.
The department is made up of around twenty people (internal resources and service providers) with varied expertise (Web Project Managers, Technical Manager, UI-UX Design Coordinator, Back and Front Developers, etc.), in charge of designing and maintaining the applications implemented. available to humanitarian actors.
Currently, beyond the implementation of the application portal architecture, the teams are working on the design and deployment of 3 new tools: “ Shared Resources ” (mobile application for exchanging resources and services between NGOs) , “ Transport by hulo ” (shared transport management tool), and “ Link ” ( supply chain management tool for humanitarian organizations).
Under the direction of the Technical Project Manager, and in coordination with the Front-End Coordinator as well as the project teams, your mission will be:
- To manage the design and development work by guaranteeing the proper integration of the functional and technical components into the architecture of the Platform;
- To provide your expertise to other members of the team and take charge/supervise the development of sensitive technical building blocks;
- To contribute to studies, technical choices and the implementation of the hulo development framework , and more generally to the Department’s strategic thinking.
- To ensure technological monitoring.
YOUR PROFILE
With a bac+ 5 training in development design, you have 5 years of significant experience in the development of web applications, proven practice of NodeJS, and are comfortable in a lead developer role.
You are motivated by technical challenges and team design. You demonstrate proactivity, autonomy and ingenuity. Join our innovation projects in the service of international solidarity.
Technical stack:
- Back technical stack: NodeJS/Typescript, NestJS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL
- Environment: microservice architecture, API Gateway, docker / kubernetes, Github, Helm
- Front technical stack: ReactJS, React Native, Redux, NextJS, SCSS
- Optional knowledge: Jest, OpenAPI, Lerna, Dredd, RabbitMQ, ts-morph
HULO WILL OFFER YOU THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
A salaried position
- Permanent position based in Montreuil with the possibility of working remotely
- Salary conditions: gross annual salary: €47,000, 21 days of RTT per year, mutual insurance covered at 80% by hulo.
- Transport: 50% of the fixed cost of commuting is covered
- Restaurant tickets: face value of €8, covered at 60% by hulo
- Specific conditions and skills: prolonged sitting, oral expression, work on screen, telephone contacts
