Context

Impact Santé Afrique (ISA ) is an African non-governmental organization based in Cameroon whose main objective is to contribute to improving the health of populations by implementing transformative and sustainable programs that will save lives and improve the health of our people. communities (for more information, visit  www.impactsante.org ).  Impact Santé Afrique (ISA ) coordinates the global platform of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for the elimination of malaria (CS4ME).  ISA is looking for an experienced CS4ME Programs Officer based in Cameroon to support the engagement of civil society organizations (CSOs) in the fight against malaria, the key activities of the CS4ME network and contribute to the achievement of its objectives through implementation of its strategic plan.

Main duties and responsibilities

The CS4ME Programs Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the CS4ME strategic plan and the engagement of civil society organizations in malaria advocacy. He/she will lead the implementation of key CS4ME advocacy campaigns, capacity building activities, development and deployment of tools for CSOs, coordination of activities and engagement actions against malaria, thereby influencing the work of CS4ME at national, regional and global levels.

Program implementation

  • Support the development and implementation of a strong and robust CSO engagement program in the area of ​​malaria;
  • Support the growth of CS4ME and promote its advocacy campaigns and events. Make the link with international dynamics in order to ensure the contribution and key actions of CS4ME at the national, regional and international levels, national, regional and international;
  • Participate in the mobilization of CSOs towards the implementation of the CS4ME 2021-2025 strategic plan;
  • Maintain regular contact with civil society representatives and help identify and respond to their needs in line with CS4ME objectives;
  • Contribute to the planning and development of CS4ME projects/activities;
  • Support CS4ME communication activities;
  • Develop and support a CSO engagement mechanism;
  • Maintain complete records of training and information materials;
  • Ensure mentoring and coaching of civil society partners;
  • Support data collection to demonstrate the impact of CSOs on malaria;
  • Provide team members with weekly updates on project activities;
  • Develop and maintain program information and materials files and produce the CS4ME newsletter;
  • Supervise with selected members of CS4ME the administration of groups on social media;
  • Ensure the publication of the activities of CS4ME members on social media and other media;
  • Facilitate, including through logistical support, the organization of workshops, training sessions and other events;
  • Write reports on programs, training and events;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the CS4ME Global Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in Project Management, Public Health, Communication, Social Sciences or a related field;
  • Strong communication, advocacy, oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent writing skills in French and/or English;
  • Knowledge of computers with possibly advanced knowledge of Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint;
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently while respecting deadlines;
  • Team spirit ;
  • Be flexible and able to work in a multicultural environment;
  • Fluency in English or French with good knowledge of the other language.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English and French to produce professional documents to national and international standards and participate in discussions and debates;
  • Familiarity with remote meeting and conference applications;
  • A positive and dynamic attitude.
