Context

This proposal aims to strengthen preparedness to respond to other crises directly related to the CHE or caused by risks and impacts of climate change, diseases and epidemics, violence and conflict, environmental degradation, industrial threats or a combination of these. The project is structured in a capacity-building strategy with civil society organizations and communities, designed to improve their preparation in early planning to participate in the response to anticipated disasters. This component aims to improve the disaster preparedness of communities and organizations, including their ability to influence access to a qualitative and responsible response. Activities are proposed to strengthen capacities for both civil society organizations and communities. iMMAP France and CIVILIS will work together, promoting the participation of HumVenezuela organizations and communities in all phases of the proposal.

3iSolution is an international NGO specialized in information management, which was created in September 2008 under the name iMMAP France – still operating under that name – that has worked supporting the humanitarian community in responding to emergencies around the world. from his expertise in information management. 3iSolution turns data into information and creates knowledge for decision makers operating in conflict, disaster, post-disaster and recovery environments, as well as other complex emergency situations and development contexts.

Summary of services

Support the development of an educational and accessible toolbox that provides practical and theoretical knowledge in the learning path for information management for Disaster Preparedness (DP)

Activities

  • Support in the design and development of the structure of each module of the toolbox.
  • Support in the design of teaching and educational materials for each module, including, but not limited to, guides, tutorials, case studies, and interactive online resources.
  • Harmonization of the contents of the online platform with an accessible format where modules and resources are easily available to interested parties and the general public.
  • Participate in project meetings
  • Monitor the agreements and commitments established in relation to the product
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, including reporting and documentation requirements.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports.
  • Guarantee the timely and organized delivery of the products agreed in the work schedule.

Required profile:

Skills

  • Proven experience in developing educational materials and learning tools, preferably in the context of disaster management or humanitarian crises.
  • Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), data collection, data visualization and needs assessment.
  • Familiarity with the Venezuelan and regional context, as well as understanding of crisis dynamics and their impacts on society.
  • Experience in the humanitarian field, from the implementation and evaluation of projects.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with effective communication skills in Spanish.

Minimum qualifications:

Experience

To be eligible, the natural person offering these services must have at least 2 years of experience developing activities similar to those indicated in these terms.

Education

Accredited professional in the areas of Human, Economic and Social Sciences or related, with a postgraduate degree in education and/or communication

Languages

Fluent command of Spanish is required (speaking and writing it), intermediate knowledge of the English language (desirable).
