Focus on the Communication Department

The Communication Department is made up of 4 people. The mission of its members is to highlight the association’s actions throughout the world.

And the Operational Communication Officer in all this?

As Operational Communications Manager, your mission is to identify, boost and coordinate the communications initiatives of Première Urgence Internationale’s missions. You are the relay between the field and the communication expertise at headquarters (press relations, digital communication, fundraising, content production, events, etc.).

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

Development of mission communication strategies and project-specific communication plans. You will provide advice, assistance and support to operational staff at headquarters and missions in their communication actions. You will support missions in achieving their objectives and meeting donor requirements.

Contribution to the association’s institutional communications strategy: you bring quality content from the field to participate in developing the organization’s reputation.

Events: you contribute to the organization of events aimed at increasing the reputation of the structure, both in the countries of intervention and among the general public in France.

You transmit your technical communication knowledge to teams in the field with the aim of empowering missions in the management of their communication strategy.

The challenges that await you:

• Encourage operational teams to provide quality communication content. • Production of content in a variety of formats for the organization’s different communication channels • Demonstrate diplomacy and adaptability with diverse teams

What you will need to succeed

Training

You can provide proof of a higher diploma in Communication or Journalism.

Experience

You have at least 2 years of experience in communications for non-governmental organizations. You know the workings and constraints of field operations, and you have already been to difficult areas.

SKILLS

You have excellent writing skills, maintaining a network of collaborators and project management. A communications professional, you also master digital and audiovisual communication tools and issues.

Required qualities

You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, ease of communication and teamwork in a multicultural context. You feel invested, committed and demonstrate organizational rigor, responsiveness and adaptability.

LANGUAGES

You have an excellent level of French and English. Arabic and Spanish skills are highly appreciated.

PUI will offer you

Status frame

Salary: 3000.00 EUR gross monthly over 12 months, depending on experience

Medical coverage: 80% of health and welfare mutual insurance

Coverage: Coverage of 50% of the transport ticket and 60% of the Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €9)

Rest : 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
