Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflicts, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or even exclusion from care. The French section is present in around thirty countries.
As part of the creation of a permanent position, we are recruiting a Philanthropy Officer.
Assignment:
Within the Partnerships and Philanthropy department, in the private fundraising department and under the hierarchical responsibility of the Head of the Philanthropy division, you actively contribute to the development of resources collected from “major donors” (individuals and private foundations) for the association and the MSF Foundation, by carrying out the following missions:
Main missions :
- Manage the relationship plan in prospecting and loyalty aimed at developing resources from proven and potential major donors in your portfolio:
- Propose targeted relational actions and implement them to retain and develop the contribution of major donors.
- Prospect new contacts and develop the network of major donors, in collaboration with the Head of the Philanthropy department.
- Monitor donations from donors and foundations in your portfolio: support arrangements and engagement program, administrative monitoring, drafting of agreements, etc.
- Lead marketing campaigns aimed at major donors: calls for donations, relational letters and emails, events, etc.
- Identify, in collaboration with the MSF departments concerned, projects to propose to major donors or foundations. Proactively propose these projects in a targeted, argued and relevant manner.
- In collaboration with the editor, design financing proposals and reports, as well as communication materials intended for the target audience.
- Participate in the identification, in collaboration with the Prospect Researcher, of new prospects.
- Actively contribute to the development of MSF’s internal and external networks on the target, with the aim of visibility and identification of new development levers.
Required profile:
Training/Experiences:
With Bac+4 or 5 training in a business school or university, you have at least 5 years of experience including 3 years in a BtoC business development position (customer relations manager, key account manager, etc.) or in a similar position in philanthropy in an association or foundation.
Skills: Mastery of the Office pack.
Languages: English minimum B2 and French minimum C1.
Status: Executive position, full-time permanent contract – Based in Paris with occasional travel.
Terms :
€46.5K gross annual over 13 months.
22 days of RTT per year. Supplementary health care 100% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières. Restaurant vouchers with a face value of €11 (60% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières). 50% coverage of public transport fare.
