About: Action against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Within the Operations department and under the responsibility of the Regional Finance Manager (RFR), your objective will be to ensure the good accounting and budgetary management of some of the countries making up the region.
More specifically, you will be responsible for the following missions:
Ensure proper accounting and budgetary management.
Advise and support the Finance Mission Departments in the accounting field.
Provide technical support in financial management to directly managed countries.
Ensure the quality of budgetary management of directly managed countries.
Guarantee accounting compliance for directly managed countries.
Monitor the implementation of ACF procedures, and make recommendations, if necessary, on corrective measures.
Contribute to the action plans of your Region, Operations and the development of financial management frameworks and policies.
Actively participate in reflections and work on the definitions and/or revisions of ACF frameworks?
Profile :
You hold a BTS Accounting with 2 years of experience or Master II from a business school.
Organized, rigorous and diplomatic, you know how to listen and are able to adapt quickly.
You enjoy and are motivated by teamwork. Experience in humanitarian work would be a plus.
Experience within Action Contre la Faim in accounting within a Pool would be a real plus.
written and oral English is compulsory.
You have an appetite for field travel which is necessary (allow for 3-4 trips per year).
Terms of employment
Status: Integrated manager – 4-month replacement fixed-term contract – Full-time
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Starting position: April 2024
Salary conditions: From 36K to 44K euros gross annual over 13 months depending on experience
21 days of RTT

Teleworking: Open to all and from mainland France, our teleworking policy defines the activities of the position requiring a mandatory presence time at the association’s headquarters, and allows you to choose from exercise fully or partially the rest of this time by teleworking.
