CONTEXT
The main objective of this project is to improve overall coordination between humanitarian actors through analysis, evaluation and synergistic information management services.
Through this project, information will be shared between actors to improve decision-making and response capacity. EVIDEM organizations will share their experiences, knowledge and lessons learned to achieve the goal. The proposed activities, together with the knowledge and experiences of each of the organizations included in the EVIDEM consortium, in addition to complementing each other, are aligned with the Emblematic Initiative1 by establishing itself as a collective coordination structure for the management of information to the service of humanitarian organizations, facilitating the way to put people and their priorities, needs and capacities at the center of all actions. Using its experience and knowledge gained through its long-standing support to humanitarian coordination mechanisms and information management capacity strengthening activities, iMMAP FRANCE aims to strengthen and empower humanitarian partners to leverage and optimize information management tools, technologies, platforms and best practices in your response to a humanitarian crisis. To help achieve this, iMMAP FRANCE will carry out two main activities: 1. Provision of needs-based information management products and services to OCHA and the HCT (Humanitarian Country Team) in Colombia, particularly to align the Framework methodology of Joint and Intersectoral Analysis (JIAF) 2.0, to contribute to an evidence-based HPC. 2. Strengthen and train information management capacities at the community level, including indigenous authorities. The EVIDEM consortium will provide a collective response from the main information management and analysis players addressing the identified gaps in information assessment, analysis and management. The proposal seeks to strengthen the capacities of first responder institutions and communities, including indigenous organizations, for anticipatory action and rapid response through analysis, evaluation and related coordination capabilities to improve preparedness and response capacity. multi-threat crises in crisis-affected areas in Colombia, including an emphasis on coordination and information exchange between humanitarian actors linked to humanitarian access and priority sectors: protection, health, Education in Emergencies, Food Security and Nutrition and Water , Sanitation and Hygiene.

Job Description The accountant is responsible for establishing an effective administrative and accounting system in the work unit and for maintaining the accounting information system for assigned projects. This position reports operationally to the Head of Finance and Administration.
Activities
- Maintain an adequate administrative, accounting, and tax file, both physical and digital.
- Accompany the external audit processes and motivated by donors, supplying the requested requirements.
- Control daily bank availability for the execution of the project, through monitoring the projects’ bank accounts.
- Record the monetization of funds received from abroad by the headquarters.
- Manage refund control in accordance with internal policy.
- Receive and verify invoices received from suppliers in compliance with legal requirements.
- Record accounting operations monthly in the World Office software in accordance with Colombian legislation and NIFF.
- Submit the preliminary monthly accounting closings on the 5th of each month for review by the Head of Administration and Finance.
- Attend the accounting report of the income and expenses of the projects to the IMMAP FRANCE headquarters with preliminary delivery of the closing on the 5th of each month for review by the Head of Administration and Finance.
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage accounting notes with the bank.
- Review mission settlements and manage the payment of travel expenses for national staff missions in accordance with the internal travel policy. Guarantee the payment of advances and settlement of missions in a timely manner.
- Plan payments, track transactions and communicate to consultants, suppliers and in general the Account Credit Notice for payments made.
- Determine the withholdings and payments of both monthly fees of consultants, as well as those of suppliers where applicable, through bank transfers and/or checks. • Deliver the withholding receipts to the staff.
- Manage and support the monthly report in the UNANET software for reporting to the iMMAP France headquarters (the latter when implemented).
- Update any news that may arise regarding income and withdrawals and generate social security forms.
- Payroll.
- Manage continuous improvements of accounting processes, attention to parameterizations of the accounting system in terms of reports and analytical queries for monthly closings.
Required Qualifications: ·
- Experience in the tax area.
- Skills and use of Microsoft Office and World Office accounting software. ·
- Ability to work under pressure on closing dates and delivery of information.
- Dedication, commitment and responsibility in contract management.
- Analytical capacity and commitment to closing tasks.
- Interpersonal skills to relate and manage with suppliers and consultants.
- Skills to encourage and cooperate in maintaining a pleasant work environment.
- Demonstrate critical analytical capacity and participation in management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: To be eligible, the person interested in applying for this position must have at least 3 years of experience in activities similar to those presented in these terms.
Education: Accredited professional in the accounting area with an active professional card.
Languages: Advanced command of the Spanish language, fluent written and oral skills in the English language for technical communication are required.
