Assignment :
And how do you imagine this internship?
It contributes to enriching the knowledge and understanding of Action Against Hunger on the interventions of NGOs, having made it possible to reduce the vulnerabilities of pastoral populations (food security, health, education, etc.) and to strengthen social cohesion with sedentary populations in transit and reception areas.
Join our SAME team to meet the challenges of sustainable agriculture. Under the supervision and with the support of the referent, and in close collaboration with the Technical and Operational Referents of the sector, you will have a key role to play.
Your missions will be varied and “really” stimulating:
- Write a powerful summary on the essential themes of the division. Among the themes covered:
-Health vulnerability (What social and economic structures underpin pastoralism? What is the situation of pastoral communities in terms of food and nutritional security and access to basic services in the areas of intervention of ACF?)
-Climate/environment (what role does pastoralism play in the management of the environment and natural resources and in the fight against climate change? What are the challenges for conservation areas?….)
-Conflict and Cohesion social (What advocacy actions can contribute to harmonious cohabitation between pastoral and sedentary populations?….)
2) Develop detailed operational recommendations to guide concrete actions.
3) Produce a map of the actors of change involved in pastoralism in order to better understand this practice.
Depending on your progress, you will be able to take on more and more responsibilities over the months!
