Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against world hunger. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has founded its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies linked to conflict and natural disasters. Mission :
Under the responsibility of the Head of the Risk and Compliance Audit department, you will have to secure ACF’s practices and guarantee the monitoring of legal and ethical risks associated with cross-functional projects, the strategic decisions of General Management and the governance of the Association. , and manage and coordinate the insurance portfolio of ACF, and by delegation of ACF International, when specified. You will also assume the role of IT and Freedoms Correspondent of the Association.
More specifically, your missions will be as follows:
Supervise and support the development of ACF’s legal practices aimed at compliance with the relevant regulatory environment and guaranteeing the protection of ACF’s strategic interests.
Support the management of legal risks for ACF’s strategic and/or operational projects.
Represent ACF in the direct management of files with high legal, contractual or regulatory impact.
Contribute to the dissemination of a risk culture within the structure and ensure strengthening of the control of legal or contractual risks.
Manage employees (Lawyers, intern(s)/volunteer(s) if existing).
Manage and coordinate the insurance portfolio of ACF and ACF International where applicable
Ensure the status of IT and Freedoms Correspondent of the Association
Profile :
With a higher education such as Master 2 in Business Law, Private Law and/or DJCE, you have at least five years of experience in a similar position as legal manager or lawyer in a firm, acquired in an international environment.
You have good knowledge of tax law and the associative sector.
You have already supervised a team of lawyers and are recognized for your managerial skills.
You are capable of drafting any type of useful contract (rental contract, partnership agreement, legal standard, etc.) in a French and international legal environment.
You are able to identify and formalize the legal needs of employees and manage pre-litigation and litigation files in order to best limit the risks incurred by the structure.
With excellent interpersonal skills, you are recognized for your listening skills and your synthesis skills. Autonomous and rigorous, you will be able to convince and argue while playing the role of facilitator.
Fluency in oral and written French and English is essential.
Terms of employment
Status: Integrated Manager – 6-month full-time fixed-term contract (as part of a replacement for parental leave)
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Start date: 05/25/2024
Remuneration: from 45K to 54 euros gross annually over 13 months depending on experience
