This internship is part of an academic training program, a professional training program or a socio-professional integration program and must meet the conditions set by the Employment Market Surveillance Council ( CSME).
Context
Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, those affected by natural or man-made disasters and victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and regardless of race , religion, beliefs or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
The Technical Logistics Department is responsible for providing field teams with specialized technical support in the following areas: water and sanitation, construction, motorized fleet management, energy, cold chain, medical equipment. The service contributes to reducing the ecological footprint, through an energy transition, improved waste management and adaptation of infrastructure.
Main responsibilities
Technical support tasks
- Depending on their skills, the intern will be asked by members of the technical service to:
- Development of drawings, plans, models.
- Technical calculations (Excel, specialized software)
- Data analysis (Excel cross tables, databases)
- Creation of technical graphics
- Writing, testing and correcting Excel macros, etc.
- Software testing
- Marketing studies
- English/French or French/English translations.
Project management tasks
- The intern will provide support to the digital tools development project manager.
Administration of the knowledge sharing platform
The OCG Logistics Referential platform facilitates access to support documents for field teams. The intern has the responsibilities:
- To propose improvements to the platform
- To monitor the implementation of platform developments, with the project manager and the service provider
- Implement content updating, according to the instructions of the content owners.
- To monitor the functioning of the platform and the referencing of its content.
- To manage the internal production and distribution of USB keys containing the offline version of the platform.
Editing documents
The intern will be in charge of producing documents:
- Document layout: implementation of the department’s graphic charter.
- Internal and external print management.
- Creation of images, graphics, posters…
- Creation of 3D images.
- Creation of Excel, Word, Powerpoint documents…
Organizational tasks
- The intern will facilitate the functioning of the department by carrying out various organizational tasks such as logistical assistance during events (training, seminars).
Required profile
- In progress or finishing university or higher studies master’s/bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Excellent writing skills
- Very good command of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Mastery of a 3D design tool
- Mastery of the Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is an asset

- Mandatory tripartite internship agreement
- Internship 6 to 12 months at 100% (depending on the internship agreement)

- Gross monthly salary: CHF 2,000.-
