DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSOCIATION
La Chaîne de l’Espoir is an international NGO founded in 1994. Its mission is to strengthen health systems to give everyone, and in particular children, the same chances of survival and development. We operate in 28 countries with a global approach, focused on the child but also on mothers and disadvantaged communities:
- Prevention and screening from an early age, particularly within the framework of school health programs.
- Care and surgery, to meet the most urgent needs of children and their mothers.
- Training and skills transfer to local teams thanks to our international network of experts in all areas of surgery.
- Construction and equipment of hospital structures adapted to local needs.
POSITION AND MISSION
Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Marketing Manager, the donor relations manager will have the role of ensuring relations with donors as well as monitoring donations.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Relations with donors
Ensure, with the help of a work-study student, direct relations with donors and prospects
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails:
- Answers to questions, particularly relating to the field actions of La Chaîne de l’Espoir
- Responses to requests: tax receipt, modification of personal data, etc.
- Send appropriate letters and documentation
Management of the SIRIUS donor database
Manage, with the help of a work-study student, the SIRIUS donor database
- Update donations in the database
- Update donor files in the database
- Ensure the proper functioning of the database and resolve bugs with the service provider if necessary
- Manage database updates with the service provider
Control of donation flows and accounting reconciliations
- Control donation flows in collaboration with external service providers and internal teams, to ensure the correct recording of donations in SIRIUS
- Control donation flows: donations arriving at headquarters or at the fulfillment provider, management of donation-related platforms (iRaiser, donation by SMS, HelloAsso, etc.), management of direct debit rejections, occasional entry of cancellations of donations or direct debits, follow-up of transfers with the bank…
- Ensure with the accounting department the reconciliation between recorded donations and cashed donations
Managing donor tax receipts
- Manage the sending of the annual tax receipt from start to finish in collaboration with the service provider: paper and digital versions: targeting, writing, production, routing
- Follow the sending of specific tax receipts (e.g. deceased, etc.)
Implementation of optimizations to process donations and other requests
- Update tools to optimize the processing of donations and other requests made to the donor relations department
- Regularly update procedures and document them
- Optimize the online donor space
- Optimize donation registration and processing procedures
- Create tools to better automate the processing of requests
Active participation in cross-functional and management projects
Manage cross-functional missions (non-exhaustive list)
- Collaborate in the implementation of CRM chains: thank you cycles…
- Privileged point of contact for the A. Deloche Foundation, a foundation sheltered by the Fondation pour l’Enfance
- Train and support the work-study student in missions related to supporting donor relations and managing donation flows
FORMATION ET EXPERIENCES
- Formation BAC+3 minimum en communication, marketing, relations clients, commerce
- Successful experience of at least 3 years in an equivalent position, ideally in an association
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES
- Knowledge of databases, SIRIUS ideally
- Very good interpersonal skills and sense of listening/communication
- Writing fluency
- Organized and rigorous
- Versatile, autonomous and good adaptability
- Sense of initiative, ability to solve problems: IT bug…

CONDITIONS

- Start date: April 2024
- Full-time position, based at the association’s headquarters in Paris, 75015
- Mutual insurance covered at 80%
- Meal tickets worth 10.83 euros covered at 60%

- Teleworking charter: 3 days/week
