SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has provided
relief to populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and promotion hygiene but also in the essential aspect of food security and means of existence. Present in around twenty countries, the SI teams – 2,000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Solidarités International carries strong values of commitment and professionalism. The recruitment and monitoring of expatriates is therefore key to the permanence of these values and more generally of a humanitarian close to the populations.
Recruiting, following humanitarian workers throughout their mission and supporting them in building their career path is therefore a tremendous lever for ensuring that this world remains populated by committed, technically good and humanly strong professionals.
The HR department of Solidarités International is currently fully engaged in a reorganization of its various services (Recruitment & Career Paths; HR Administration and National HR) which will lead to changes in the responsibilities of the different functions in the coming months.
In this sense, the Recruitment & Careers Officer (CRP) will initially be in charge of the Emergency desk (non-exhaustive list):
- To ensure the internal and external recruitment of candidates for the association’s missions and is responsible for HR monitoring of expatriates during their mission. This involves listening to HR difficulties in the field, knowing how to identify and resolve problems (health, skills, behavior, etc.) and reporting alerts to the Desk and the department manager.
- To be involved in the dimensioning of the missions for which he/she is responsible (relevance of set-ups, reflection on roles and responsibilities, attention to the workload as well as the fluidity of communication patterns, etc.).
- Guarantee compliance with Human Resources policies on the missions of your assigned Desk and support the missions on any HR-related issue.
- Be a force for proposals for the development and consolidation of Solidarités International’s recruitment policy and is in charge of managing the pool and making it dynamic.
- Lead HR modules from preparation to departure and participate in departmental HR projects.
At the end of these first months and as part of the HR transformation project undertaken, the position will evolve towards a more targeted outline on recruitment management in connection with the countries of intervention.
As such (non-exhaustive list and Job Profile currently being finalized):
- Recruitment of expatriates linked to the trades for which he or she is responsible as well as the analysis & reporting of service indicators
- Management of the pool of expatriates linked to the trades for which he or she is responsible
- Representation of SI during forums & trade fairs for which he or she is responsible
- Participation in the life of the service
YOUR PROFILE
Solidarités International is interested in different types of profiles:
- Former expatriates who have already demonstrated an appetite for human resources, holding the positions of HR Coordinator or Field Coordinator for example. Experiences in emergency humanitarian missions really make the difference because they will provide relevant support for expatriates.
- People demonstrating HR technical skills in recruitment in particular, on which they can rely to develop their understanding of the sector.
Mastery of the most common office software (Word and Excel) as well as a very good command of English are essential.
IF WILL OFFER YOU THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Métro Mairie de Clichy) with potential travel on French territory, during trade fairs and forums linked to recruitment in its professional sector
- Permanent contract, Framework status
- Gross monthly remuneration of: €3,183 or €3,316 depending on the scale in effect at headquarters and the candidates ‘ experiences
- Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 per month or 100% teleworking with 3 mandatory face-to-face days per month. Depending on the profile and experience of the candidates and in accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
- Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work
- Mutual insurance (80%), restaurant tickets (60%), Île de France transport tickets (50%) covered by the association, 100% teleworking monthly package
