WHAT DO WE DO …

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has provided relief to populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and promotion hygiene but also in the essential aspect of food security and means of existence. Present in around twenty countries, the SI teams – 2,000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The development and communication department, led by the Director of Development and Communication, is made up of two services working in close collaboration:

  • The fundraising service
  • The communications department

Within the fundraising department and under the supervision of the Fundraising Department Manager, the Donation Management & Donor Relations Department Manager is responsible for the proper management of donations, the donor relations department and the management of service providers linked to these missions.

Its role is to retain donors by responding to their various requests, ensuring the updating and optimization of the donor database, and consolidating the bond between the association and its supporters.

He/She manages the donor database provider (BDD) and the fullfilment provider.

He/She also manages the donor relations department, currently subcontracted, and ensures the proper processing of PNDs (envelopes not distributed following calls for donations).

He/she works directly with the association’s accounting department, but also with the mission teams in the event of specific donor requests.

The position is structured around 7 main pillars and the following tasks (non-exhaustive list):

Monitoring & animation of donor relations

  • Welcomes new donors (Direct Debit donors, memberships, etc.) by mail, e-mail and by telephone
  • Manages the service provider in charge of responding on a daily basis to phone calls and emails from donors
  • Is a force for proposals regarding the optimization of the processes put in place, documents and relational speeches with the aim of efficiency and improvement of donor retention

Management of donations and memberships in conjunction with the BDD and fullfilment provider

  • Guarantees the quality of the information entered into the database with regard to the donor profile, compliance with legal obligations regarding IT and freedoms. Ensures the proper preparation of the shuttle for the fullfilment service provider, the proper reception of any returns and processes requests.

Management of the online donation platform

  • Verifies donations and memberships (in close collaboration with the project manager at General Management) online (payment problem, double donations, cancellation of a donation, fraudulent use of credit cards, etc.)
  • Monitoring of possible problems encountered by donors during a payment

Management of Automatic Debits (PA) in conjunction with the accounting department and the fulfillment provider;

  • Manages direct debit rejections as well as anomalies: ensures the sending of appropriate donor letters as well as basic accounting and marketing regularizations

Management of donations by Booklet Act in conjunction with the BDD service provider and the partnership manager:

  • Manages the follow-up of welcome letters in connection with the service provider
  • Manages the integration of donations into the donor database with the service provider

Accounting closure in conjunction with the administrative and financial management and the manager of Fullfilment:

  • Collaborates closely with the Administrative and Financial Department throughout the year (accounting reconciliations, framing, monitoring of payments, etc.)
  • Updates the annual donation integration closing procedure for our Fullfilment provider

YOUR PROFILE

Training and experience:

  • Desired training: BAC + 3 to BAC +5 related to the skills required by the position
  • Significant experience in an administrative position monitoring donors or customers with a qualitative approach to contact management
  • Fluency in English is a plus
  • Position eligible for up to 8 days of teleworking per month

IF WILL OFFER YOU THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

  • Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy)
  • Permanent contract, executive status
  • Gross monthly remuneration of: €3,183 or €3,316 according to the grid in effect at SI headquarters and professional experience of the candidates.
  • Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month. In accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
  • Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work
  • Mutual insurance (80%), restaurant tickets (60%), transport tickets (50%) covered by the association
