ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

These jobs are located in WFP warehouses. Position holders report to the Warehouse Management Assistant or Assistant or designee. Positions are exposed to all phases of warehouse operations and work with minimal supervision. They may provide on-the-job supervision and training to other warehouse employees

JOB DESCRIPTION

Process receipt/shipment and verification of goods to optimize the quality of warehouse operations and mitigate losses, and support best storage management practices consistent with WFP warehouse standards and guidelines established.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (non-exhaustive)

1. Efficiently receive/ship goods, including transshipment (truck-to-truck), based on approved official documentation (e.g. waybills and delivery slips), ensuring accuracy of physical count of goods, including quality conforming to established standards.

2. Prepare, verify and sign warehouse and transportation documents, and maintain confidential records and accurate records of warehouse transactions to ensure immediate reporting of merchandise movements in accordance with company requirements.

3. Perform daily warehouse closing reconciliations and accurate inventory audits supporting internal control systems in accordance with warehouse management requirements.

4. Conduct daily inspections and prepare reports on the quantity and quality of goods received/shipped and handled, promptly detect and analyze the reasons for stock discrepancies/damages, investigate the missing quantity and prepare reports on product losses. warehouse by recommending appropriate solutions to enable clear decision-making.

5. Implement appropriate measures to protect food and non-food products, to ensure quality control using standard preventive measures in accordance with procedures established by WFP and authorizations received from the supervisor.

6. Monitor the condition of the warehouse and commodities and take appropriate measures to promote efficient planning of warehouse space and well-organized storage of commodities in accordance with WFP warehouse standards.

7. Provide guidance and on-the-job training to warehouse personnel to contribute to their development and good performance.

Demonstrates awareness of the importance of technical assistance and coordination with key stakeholders and the ability to conduct logistics activities, respecting program mandates and priorities.

MINIMUM STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma. Post-secondary certificate in related functional area is desirable.

Language:

Mastery (level C) of the French language

Experience:

4 years of experience minimum

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY INTO THIS ROLE

· Experience using logistics databases to extract routine reports.

· Experience in warehouse management with food and NFI.

· Experience in inventory management.

· Experience in processing invoices.
