SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has provided relief to populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and promotion hygiene but also in the essential aspect of food security and means of existence. Present in around twenty countries, the SI teams – 2,000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Internal Audit Representative is placed under the responsibility of the head of the Ethics and Internal Audit department and works in close collaboration with the various heads of divisions and services at headquarters on the management of internal audits.
He/She supervises internal audit exercises aimed at improving processes and internal controls in the field and at headquarters as well as partner due diligence.
He/She is the technical referent for Compliance, Risks and Transparency positions in the field. He/She is also the line manager of the Internal Audit Manager and the flying internal auditor.
Through 4 essential pillars of the position: Internal Audit Headquarters and Field; Due Diligence Partners; Internal control ; Archiving, he/she (non-exhaustive list):
- Defines the annual internal audit plan of the organization (headquarters and field)
- Validates the internal audit plans developed by the field compliance teams and supports their deployment.
- Conducts internal audit exercises in the field and at headquarters.
- Supervises the deployment of Self-Assessment exercises.
- Supports teams on any subject related to internal audit.
- Manages the development and improvement of ‘internal audit’ standards and methodology of the ethics and internal audit department
- Ensures that all implementation partner due diligence is carried out by the headquarters internal audit team and the field compliance teams.
- Advises the headquarters and country teams on a daily basis in the implementation of internal control exercises
- Supervises the deployment of recommendation monitoring tools
- Contributes as necessary to SI’s response to the findings and recommendations of external auditors; as well as questions from partners and/or donors on internal operations and processes.
- Is responsible for producing the structure’s archiving standards.
- Supports the deployment and/or updating of risk management tools in the field.
- Contributes to minimizing the risks of abuse by ensuring compliance with Solidarités’ internal standards and ethical guidelines.
- Actively communicates around the existence of the SI code of conduct and behavior.
Responsible for the proper implementation of HR policies and processes to ensure that they have both the number of people and the amount of knowledge necessary for the activities for which they are responsible.
SPECIFIC ISSUES AND CHALLENGES:
- Organization of work requiring the completion of substantive tasks while ensuring daily operational operations whose volume and priorities may vary.
- Variable presence of equivalent positions in the field, requiring adaptation of the level of involvement and monitoring depending on the country.
YOUR PROFILE
- In-depth knowledge of the humanitarian sector essential
- Confirmed humanitarian field experience(s) in “support” professions in coordination positions.
- Experience(s) in Internal Audit
- Appetite for organizational risk management.
- Perfect command of French and English, both spoken and written.
- Mastery of the pack Office.
- Ability to work in a team, pedagogical, conscientious and good practical sense.
- Rigor, ability to analyze and organize, manage priorities.
IF WILL OFFER YOU THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy) with field travel
- Permanent contract, Framework status
- Gross monthly remuneration of: €3,502 or €3,647 depending on the scale in effect at headquarters and the candidates ‘ experiences
- Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month or 100% teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face work per month (TT package paid monthly). In accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
- Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work
- Mutual insurance (80%), restaurant tickets (60%), Île de France transport tickets (50%) covered by the association
- Insurance covered during field trips and 1 day of recovery per weekend spent on mission.
