Asmae is a secular and apolitical French international solidarity NGO specializing in child development. Created in 1980 by Sister Emmanuelle based on her experience with ragpickers in the slums of Cairo, Asmae continues its action while respecting the values ​​and methods inherited from its founder: listening and proximity, pragmatism, taking into account differences, professionalism and reciprocity.

Asmae’s action aims to support vulnerable children and their families through tailor-made, long-term support from local actors working in the fields of education and child protection. Its vision “A just world which guarantees children to live and grow with dignity with their families and their environment to become free women and men, actors of society” is divided into four missions:

  • Promote child development through a global approach. For this, Asmae also works to support families while taking the environment into account;
  • Strengthen the capacity of local child development actors, strengthen synergies between them and maximize their social impact;
  • Defend the cause of the child through awareness-raising and advocacy;
  • Experiment, swarm and disseminate.

Today, Asmae leads projects in the fields of education and child protection in partnership with 22 local organizations in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Lebanon, Madagascar and the Philippines. Asmae also leads projects in France.

Within the Collection department, the General Public Collection team contributes to financing the association’s projects through raising awareness and retaining individual donors. While contributing to the proper functioning of the service, the intern or work-study student will have the opportunity to acquire relational skills, donation management, marketing, to have an overall vision of the cycle of calls for donations and develop know-how in donor loyalty.

Under the responsibility of the Collection, Patronage and Philanthropy Manager and in conjunction with the Donor Relations and Donation Management Manager, the intern or work-study student manages donations and the relationship with donors and sponsors. He/she also participates in the drafting of the various procedures.

YOUR MISSIONS:

  • Support the gift management and donor relations officer in monitoring the relationship with donors and sponsors
  • Respond to requests from donors, sponsors or prospects received by mail, e-mail or telephone: writing personalized letters based on the request, sending documentation, etc.
  • Inform donors about the association’s actions and the different ways of supporting the association: donation by check, online, direct debit, unallocated, sponsorship;
  • Create donor and sponsor files in the database and enrich them with useful information for Direct Marketing
  • Manage possible disputes related to your hierarchy (reimbursement requests, direct debit errors, etc.)
  • Manage donations and monitor service providers
  • Control the work of the donation entry service provider through filters and checks
  • Track and send tax receipts to donors
  • Manage payment rejections
  • Request for quote and send files to the service provider who issues tax receipts
  • Updating procedures related to donation management
  • Support the General Public Collection Development Manager on direct and digital marketing activities
  • Participate in actions put in place to develop collection
  • Participate in the creation of emails
  • Create campaign codes and assignments in the database
  • Benchmark of the market and new means of collection
  • Participation in solidarity initiatives
  • Support the Donor Relations and Donation Management Manager and the Collection Development Manager in:
  • Coordination of headquarters volunteers and solidarity initiative volunteers
  • Inventory monitoring (solidarity store, collection tools)

Other complementary activities may be integrated, provided that they are directly linked to donor relations, donation management and collection.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Student of higher education type IAE, BTS or IUT marketing techniques, sales administration, marketing
  • Be comfortable with numbers
  • Computer skills (Excel: good level required)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Writing skills and good level of spelling
  • A sensitivity for the associative environment would be a plus
  • Dynamism and versatility
  • Rigor
  • Fluency in English preferred

PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS

  • Desired start: 3/09/2024
  • Duration of the work-study program: 1 year
  • Working hours : 35 hours/week
  • Work-study allowances: legal minimum amount
  • Other benefits: meal vouchers with a face value of €10 (60% employer), 50% coverage of the Navigo Pass or sustainable mobility package.
  • Teleworking: possible up to 2 days/week
  • Location: position based in Montreuil (93).
